Chapter 21
Jalilah's POV
The next day.......
"Can you please put some clothes on Dulamah", I said getting annoyed. We were supposed to be at my parents house by now but obviously Dulamah won't put his thoub and kufi on. "I do have clothes on", he states.
"Put your damn thoub and kufi on will ya. Damn", I say rolling my eyes. He gets off of the couch and walks past me. "Thank you", I mutter under my breath. Minutes later he walks back into the living room fully dressed putting his jacket on. "Come on", I say unlocking the door.
"Don't step out of my house until you say the du'a", he says in a serious tone. I roll my eyes then say the du'a. He says it after me then steps outside behind me. He locks the door then he unlocks the car doors.
"Hand me the keys", I say. He looks at me with a questioning look. "For what?", he asks. "I wanna drive dumb ass", I say with a smirk. He climbs into the drivers seat then closes the door before starting the car. "Get in", he shouts. I climb I'm then punch him. "Don't hit me", he says looking at me. I shrug. "We're late", I reminded him. He sighed then backed out of the driveway.

We arrived at my parents house and Dulamah walked around to the passenger side and opened it for me. I climbed out without thanking him. "Where's my kiss?", he asked wrapping him arms around my waist. I pushed him away. "I don't have your kiss", I stated before knocking on the door.
The door opened and my Ummi stared at me with a smile then she pulled me in for a hug. "Lila baby. Salaamu alaykum", she says kissing my forehead before pulling me inside. She gives Dulamah salaams and a kiss on his cheek the pulls him inside as well.

Dulamah's POV
"How are you Umm Jalilah?", I asked. "Great alhamdulilah. You better be treating my baby girl well", she says. I nod my head with a smile. "I have", I state. She looks over at Jalilah who's staring at her brother. Qasim Ameen walks over then gives me a brotherly hug. "Great seeing you Ameen", I say with a smile. "You too man", he says.
He reached over me and grabbed Jalilah that was beside me. "Come talk to me Lila", he said pulling her away. I walked past Umm Jalilah to go and greet Abu Jalilah. When he saw me he smiled before standing up. "Son in law, how are you?", he asked after giving me salaams. "Good alhamdulilah. And you man?", I asked. "I'm great", he chuckles.
I greet the other men in the room with salaams and brotherly hugs. I sat down beside a brother named Jamal. He was a convert. I've seen him around the Masjid at times, and every time I'd see him I'd always give him salaams. He was around my age or a little younger.
"Your names Dulamah right?", he asked. I nodded my head. "Yeah". He smiled then began a conversation.

Jalilah's POV
"Why are you looking so down Lils?", Ameen asked me. I sat on his bed fumbling with my hands nervously. He put his hands over mines to try and get me to stop. "What's wrong?", he asked me.
"Nothings wrong", I lied. "Please don't lie to me Jalilah", he says seriously. "You're my homie baby. I can tell when you're lying and when you aren't. And in this case you're lying", he says. I sigh aloud before speaking.
"I'm pregnant", I whispered. He looks at me with a questioning look. "What?", he asks. "I'm pregnant", I say again. His eyes goes wide and he gives out an awkward chuckle. "You're pregnant?", he asks me. I nod. "Lila bug. Shit girl", he says with another chuckle.
