Ells pov.

We left the castle about two weeks ago. after my secret feeding with John I never saw him. it's like he was avoiding me......guess it was pretty pathetic of me to think I was important to him.

His birthday is a week away. I wish I could go...nut I know for certain that Merna will never let me attend. I will most likely be apart of the staff. not that im complaining, at least i get to see some of it right?

i went back to the room i was stayimg in.....well sort of a room......more like a closet. this is what some of the rooms are like for the servants. Very small, only  bed that barely fits, and a mirror, but only for the women. it is nice, but needs color. the walls are white, and the bedding is a cream slrt of color. at least the bed is comfortable. i went to work on the sisters ball gowns, making alterations, adding lace and jewels, making sire its to their standards. It was going to bed a long day.

John's pov.

i found the necklace i gave Ell in my room, with a note on the bed.

Dear John,

I know that you have discovered that I took Ell's memories. I took the necklace so she may not be confused by it. I know it was a terrible thing I did, but I had no choice. Your mother and Merna threatened me to do it.....by harming my daughter. Ell is my daughter....I was never died.....I had to go into hiding because I was to be burned to the stake for witch craft. So I faked my death. It was the hardest decision of my life.....please look after my sweet Ell she deserves so much, I know you will give her happiness. The spell may only be broken if you kiss her on the stroke of twelve, with full love between you both. Your dead line is your birthday. It was the best I could do to not fully erase you from her life. Look after my sweet angel. I hope one day I will see her again.

I couldnt believe what I read. I had to read it a few times tl understand. Now since Ell is a vampire she will not be able to do witch craft......but if she remained human her magic would have come when she turned 18. There are so many secrects in my sweet Ell's life....that she doesnt even know. A witch for a mother (literally) but a good witch, a vampire hunter for a father, what else could there possible be?

My party is going to be bigger than my others according tl my mother, since this will be the year i will choose my bride......which will be Ell. Since all guest are required to wear a mask it will be easy to take Ell and for her to go. I have been reading her thought s on how badly she wishes to go. i will make sure she will.

Ell's pov.

After i was done with. the dresses indecided to take a nice stroll through the beautiful gardens. i womt be needed for another half an hour or so. the raindrops upon the white roses, lillies, and other flowers, just sparkle like jewels under the moonlight. Night fall is always...........magical. Even before I became a vampire I would take nice long strolls theough the gardens at night. Dangerous? yes.....but a'ways worth it.

my mind kept drifting off to how badly i wish for John at my side. How I wish to be in his arms while he gives me soft gentle kisses.....wait what am i thinking? No it cant be......Im.....im....im....falling in love......with the prince........but how?

"Everything alright Ell?"

i nearly screamed upon hearing his voice. i didnt hear him coming. " Yes your majesty i am alright."

" What are you doing out here? its very cold and i wouldnt want you to be cold."

i had a small smile of my face. my back was still turned to him so of course he coudlnt see. " I was just taking a stroll through the gardens.........it is quite lovely under the moon light." i slowly turned around expecting him to have a bored expression....except he didnt. it was full of love? happiness? maybe.

" I agree. i do the same every night. it is always something different. but the beauty does not compare to yours." he said.

if i was still human i wouldnt most likely be blushing badly right now. "Thank you John."

" I hope you dont mind but i saw you strolling around and thought you would like some company. may i join you?" he bowed in respect.

" of course you are the prince and can do what ever you wish."

"Very true....but that is only a title doesnt mean anything to me.....and doesnt change anything about me."  i was slighty shocked by his answer.

As we strolled we came upn a beautiful foutain surrounded by roses. it was breathtaking with the shimmer of water, the moon light, and reflection of the full moon in the water.

" Ell there was something i wish to ask you."

" yes? what is it John?"

He rubbed the back of his neck nervously, and was shifting from one foot to the other.

" Ell i was wondeering.............would you........will you........go to the.......ball with me?" .
