Tori and I meet Kandence, Genie, and Ellie for lunch. We walked to the table and sat down. I hoped Genie didn't know yet, hell or even Kandi.
I sighed and smiled at Genie. "How are you girls?"
"I'm good." Ellie smiled and drank some of her wine.
"I'm ok, work is a bitch right now." Genie huffed.
"Why?" Tori asked curiously.
"I have three photoshoots this week." Genie said.
"Three? Don't you only have one a week?" I asked.
"Yeah, but I guess we have deadlines." Genie shrugged. "I'm more interested in hearing about you and Brian. I saw what you did to the living room. It is gorgeous."
"Thank you " I took a mouthful of wine. "What else have you heard?"
"Y'all are together." Kandence smiled.
"I thought you didn't date clients?" Ellie mocked.
"Hush! I can make my own choices and I would expect you to respect that. I didn't expect it, but we just happened to be interested in each other."
"Damn Nik, you really lay down the law." Genie giggled.
"Yeah, well I know exactly where Ellie is going with this. You think I'm dating him because he has money and I want in his pants. Let me tell you honey, that's not it at all. You are just upset you are the only at this table that isn't getting any action."
