Nicole's POV

I watched as the car left Brian's driveway. I closed the door and slid down as I cried for a moment. I leaned my head back on the door and slowly got up. I got ready for work.

I walked in and Wes walked over to me. "Aw honey, you've been crying."

"Is it that obvious?" I asked quietly.

"Yes, what happened?" Wes asked curiously.

"Bri left for the tour this morning." I bit my bottom lip.

"Come here." Wes hugged me. "He will be back before you know it. Now, let's get the sad off your mind and more positive thoughts."

"Like?" I asked quietly.

"That's a lovely necklace."

I actually smiled as I looked down at it. "He gave it to me."

"See! There's that smile!" Wes grinned. "Ok, how about doing your best work while he's working because, we both know that's what he would want."

I hugged Wes with a smile. "You're a great friend Wes."

"You're a great friend too Nik." Wes smiled. "So, today we got an appointment with Fiona again. Her granddaughter loved her room and would like you to do her living room."

"What did she have in mind?" I asked.

"Well, I guess she wanted a nice tan colored wall so the wood floor would pop. A sectional couch..." Wes said.

I smiled. "I will come up with some layouts tonight."

"Alright, sounds good." Wes nodded. I sat at my computer and started working on some layouts. I paused for a moment as I gripped the necklace in my hand softly.

I got up and walked out to my car to go to my apartment on my lunch break. "Hi." Tori smiled.

"Hey." I smiled a little.

"Are you doing ok?" Tori asked as we sat our table.

"Not really..." I frowned as I looked at his necklace.

"I know the feeling. So, this weekend think we can see mom?"

"Of course, I would love too." I smiled.

"I think it will keep us on a positive mind set until the guys return." Tori smiled.

"I agree." I smiled. My phone started to ring and I looked at quick. I sighed and answered it. "What?"

"Can't we talk like adults?" Flynn asked.

"No, bye." I hung up and shook my head.

"Flynn?"

"Yeah, I swear I should of never dated that boy."

"Isn't he.."

"No, Brian is a man, Flynn is a immature boy." I cut her off.

"Ouch." Tori giggled.

"I miss him so much..." I sighed as I held the necklace in my hand.

"Did he give you that?" Tori asked.

"Yes." I smiled as I looked up at her. My phone started ringing again. I looked at it and smiled. "Brian?"

"Hello gorgeous." Brian said. "I just had to hear your voice. I'm on the east coast now..." He huffed.

"I'm glad you got there safely." I smiled.

"I miss you so much. How are you doing?"

"I miss you more. I'm ok, just wish you were here."

"I wish I was there too." Brian said softly.

"I'm making layouts for a living room now."

"Oh yeah? That's great baby. Who for?"

"Fiona's granddaughter." I smiled as I looked at the necklace and held the pendent in my hand.

"That's awesome baby. I'm proud of you."

"I'm proud of you too Brian. Have a great show tonight."

"Thanks baby. I will because of you." I could tell Brian smiled. "I love you Nicole."

"I love you Brian." I smiled as we hung up.

"Aw!" Tori grinned.

I smiled happily and sat my phone on the table. "I never felt this way before."

"It's an amazing feeling right?" Tori asked.

"Yes, and I hope it never ends." I smiled. The weekend came and we went to see mom and had a good time with her. The night was a little harder to get through when I didn't have Brian to hold me. That's when I missed him the most.

The months flew by and Brian kept his word. He called me every night and sometimes we even fell asleep on the phone.

I smiled when I woke up knowing Brian is finally coming home. I came into work and showed Wes the layouts. "Which one looks the best?"

"I really like this one. Sometimes simple is best." Wes smiled.

"Shall we run it by her?" I smiled.

"Let's do this." Wes smiled and we walked out to my car. "So, Brian is coming home today?"

"Yes, and I'm so excited. I missed him so much." I smiled as we got in my car and went to the clients place.

"I'm sure he missed you too." Wes smiled.

"Oh, he wants to meet you by the way." I glanced at Wes.

"Seriously?" Wes looked at me quick.

"Yeah, you are a fan right?" I asked.

"A huge fan! Oh my gosh!" Wes grinned.

"Good, I didn't tell Brian wrong then." I giggled. "I told him you knew his stage name because you're a fan. He knows you're my assistant."

"I'm so excited!" Wes laughed a little. I smiled as we pulled up to the house. "Let's see if she agrees with the one we chose." We walked in and went over the layout and explained how the set up would go.

After she agreed Wes and I headed back to the office to order the new furniture and hire the painters.
