Nicole's POV

I can't believe how much time has gone by. Work was doing very well and Dawn was now going into the eighth grade. I grabbed my purse and keys.

"Dawn, let's go! You'll be late." I called as I walked to the door.

"I'm ready." Dawn grabbed her bag. "Dad will be home today right?"

"Yes, and I'm sure he missed us like crazy." I smiled and looked at her. "Um excuse me... What are you wearing?"

"Mom... It's just a crop top." Dawn huffed.

"No, what's that around your neck. I don't care about your crop top and baggy cargo pants."

"A necklace." Dawn smiled.

"That is the necklace your father gave me when he and I were dating. Give it " I held out my hand.

"Mom! Please it looks cool and I promise I will give back when I get home." Dawn said as she grabbed a cap and put it on her head backwards as she tucked her long hair behind her ears.

"If anything happened to that necklace Dawn you're grounded." I opened the door and let her out. "Is the new look to impress Liam?"

"No! H-He has a girlfriend anyway." Dawn said as she got in the car.

"It won't last long I'm sure." I said as I started the car and drove Dawn to school. "Have a great day!" I called as she got out. I shook my head and drove to work.

"Morning honey!" Wes smiled.

"Morning." I smiled as I walked into my office. "What's on the agenda today?"

"Well, just going to meet a client by the name of Ellie."

"Ellie?" I looked at him quick. "What did she say?"

"She wanted a living redesign." Wes said. "Her husband and her came up with a concept."

"Oh..." I nodded. "I'm having lunch with the girls, so I can talk to her then." I ran my hand through my hair.

"Sounds good. How is Dawny?" Wes asked.

"Good, I think she's a little jealous of a girl though." I sighed.

"Why?" Wes asked curiously.

"This girl is Liam's girlfriend." I shrugged. "She's had a thing for him for a while."

"Well, maybe he is worried he'll ruin their friendship." Wes said.

"Maybe." I molded as my phone buzzed. "Hey love."

"Hey baby, we got back early. I'm coming by." Brian said.

"Ok babe." I smiled as I looked down.

"I love you, see you soon."

"I love you too." I said then we hung up.

"Well?"

"Brian is on the way here. He got back early." I smiled happily.

"That's good." Wes smiled. "He's been working pretty hard."

"Yes he has, but I'm proud of him." I nodded.

"I know and he's very proud of you." Wes smiled.

I smiled as I sat down. "I know." It was quiet for a while and then Brian walked in. "Brian." I smiled and hugged him.

"Hi baby." He kissed me tenderly. "Surprise." He showed me some beautiful lilies.

"Oh Bri, the are lovely." I hugged him tightly. "I love you so much."
