Dear Matt ( Rabbit )- song fic

A/N: Ok so I decided to try this out. This idea was bothering my mind the whole night. My imagination does get wild when I don't sleep...I have never written a song fic...Oh boy here I go...

Song: Young Heretics - I know I'm a wolf ( A/N: oh and yes I'm fully aware that the song is about an abusive realationship but I just want to use my imagination right now :P )

It has been a week since you moved in with Matt. You already had your own clothes and other needed stuff. Now you were just laying around on his couch with your feet on his lap while he sat there and played video games. He had easily gained your trust and you were more open to him than to anyone else. You watched as Matt's character kept defeating his opponent over and over again and slowly you began to fall asleep. 

***start of dream***

(in wolf form)

You found yourself running in an open snow field that didn't seem to have an ending to it, it was all just white and the sky was clear. Something small was running away from you and you were clearly chasing it. It was a rabbit. Its fur was the same colour as Matt's hair but you didn't see what eye color it had...

" Dear rabbit... my legs are getting weak chasing you... "

 " The snow fields... wouldn't seem so big if you knew... "

You were running closer and closer to the rabbit. ' Almost got you... ' You thought.

" That this blood on my teeth... it is far beyond dry... "

You managed to bite the rabbit. It kept running but its pase got slower and slower and it fell down, curling into a ball in fear...

" And I've captured you once... but I wasn't quite right... "

" So I'm telling you... that you'll be safe with me... "

You stopped running and slowly walked towards it, knowing it wouldn't move anymore anyways...

The rabbit shook in fear. It already knew its fate...

With a killer look on your face, you kept slowly making your way to the scared rabbit... You didn't feel like killing it anymore for some reason... 

You were not standing next to it. It kept shaking in fear...

" Rabbit... my claws are dull now so don't be afraid... "

You turned your head to look at it. The rabbit stared blankly in the distance with wide eyes. Clearly in shock. You now could see its eye color. It was the same as Matt's... Blue... Your eyes softened as you stared at the shaking rabbit...

" I could keep you warm... as long as you can just try to be brave... "

" Yes I know I'm a wolf... and I've been known to bite... "

You licked some of the fresh blood off your snout and turned your head around to stare at the same direction as the rabbit...

" But the rest of my pack... I have left them behind... "

Your eyes now reflected worry...

" And my teeth may be sharp... and I've been raised to kill... "

" But the thought of fresh meat... it is making me I'll... "

Your eyes darted to the rabbit that is now staring at you with wide eyes, scared for its life...You smiled to it but the smile didn't look friendly...

" So I'm telling you... that you'll be safe with........ me... "

In the blink of an eye you were standing above the now dead and covered in its own blood rabbit that was now Matt... You killed him... There was nothing you could do about it though, it was your natural insticts that kicked in...

You looked into his open, dead eyes and felt regret wash over you...Your ears folded back, your eyes softened and you heart was aching...You laid down beside him...

You nudged him but it was hopeless...You killed him...

" So rabbit... please stop looking the other way... "

It started snowing. Your ear twitched as the cold snowflake landed on it...

" It's cold out there... so why not stay here... "

You curled up beside him to keep him warm and fell asleep...

" Under... my... tail... "

***end of dream***

You shot up from your sleep with wide eyes while breathing heavy. That got Matt's attention and he looked up from his psp " You ok? " He sounded concerned...

" Yes...I'm fine... " You said, hugging your knees and staring blankly at your feet...

" Bad dream? " He asked.

" Yeah... " You smiled " Bad dream... "
