Hi guys. As you know there have been a lot of black pride movement going around in America. So I decided to have a bit of a chapter recognizing the actions of police across the nation. Of course, this is still The Boondocks so there is going to be comical, all that stuff. So please do not get offended. I love all y'all ❤️ anywho! Let's get reading!

I've politically decided to take a stand against the police in the city of WoodCrest.  I've always been active in the black community. The little group that we are that is. Since that recent murder of Alton Sterling in Louisiana, the black community has become furious.

There were riots everyday. I would wake up to hear explosions and see fire burning from the glare in my window.

It was downright hate.

Fortunately, I have come up with an idea to bring us all together and hopefully end this unnecessary fighting.

"Huey! Are you insane?!" I hear Jazmine shout from across the lawn. I ignore her as I continue my speech on CNN.

"I will not eat starting now. This fighting must end. One way or another. In the words of the genuine Mahatma Gandhi, "A man who was completely innocent, offered himself as a sacrifice for the good of others, including his enemies, and became the random of the world. It was a perfect act." Hopefully, my act will be respected and used correctly. Thank you."

I finish my speech as camera's flashes blind my eyes. While reporters begin pushing microphones in my face. I wave my hand. Signaling for them to stop and walk back into the house.

"Huey you done lost ya damn mind." Granddad addressed taking off his brown hat that cuffed his grey old hairs. Lying them flat against his shiny skull.

"Quite the opposite Granddad." I add walking up the stairs. I think it is best to just stay away from all food in general if I am actually going to survive this.

"Then tell me, how is starving yourself going to fix anything?" Granddad pushed.

Though I ignore him. I have to conserve most of my energy.

"Fine don't answer me. Go head n starve. You gon be hungry tomorrow. Jus watch." Granddad vowed, walking quickly into his big recliner in the living room.

I hear the front door open once more and my friends barge in.

"Wow Huey. That was an incredible speech my man!" My friend Caesar grinned. Giving me a thumbs up. I scan the rest of them.

"Yes. Well, if all goes according to plan, I should eat by Friday." I say, earning an eyebrow raise from my Asian friend Hiro.

"Are you sure all the fighting will stop in only two days?" He asked, uncertain.

"Huey! You crazy nigga. I know you always wanna be captain save the whole mothafuckin planet type bitch but this is real low. Even fo yo ass." Riley asserted, folding his arms across his chest.

"Right!! And what does Jazzy think about all dis-" my blonde haired friend Cindy began, but Jazmine swung the front door open with determination in her strides.

I think I better go now.

Slyly, I try to hurry my way up the stairs to my room.

"A hunger strike?! Are you kidding me?!" She cries running up to me at the stairs.

"And that's my cue." Caesar cackles rushing out the Freeman house followed by Hiro.

"Later gay ass nigga." Riley proclaimed as he held hands with the blonde girl beside him and made their way out the house as well. Closing the door behind them.
