Reverse Falls

You sighed, as you swept the corners of the room, collecting the dust and small dirt particles. The Gleeful Twins wanted their mansion to always be spotless. As you swept the dirt into the dustpan and threw it away, you noticed the other workers scrambling to the middle of the room. Your friend here, May Falls, was also walking past. You grabbed her arm, stopping her.

"May, what's going on?" You whispered to the blonde haired girl. May looked at you, her emerald green eyes locking onto you.

"The twins need all the staff to line up in the middle of the room. Now let's go!" She hissed. You nodded, dropping the broom and quickly heading to the middle of the large living room. Shuffling into line, you looked around you. All of the staff were standing perfectly straight, but bits of worry etched across their faces. Looking back to the front, you saw two familiar people walk into the room. Dipper and Mabel Gleeful, the richest twins in all of Reverse Falls. But they were also the strangest, and the meanest. You looked to see that May was looking back and forth between the twins and the ground. The little bell on her collar jingled a bit, and you had to cover your mouth to muffle a giggle. Dipper looked over at you, narrowing his cold eyes. You immediately shut up, and stood up straight, looking down at the floor. Mabel began pacing in front of the staff, tapping a sharp dagger against her palm.

"As you all know, it is almost time for the annual Gleeful ball. Brother dear and I want this house cleaned, and ready in two days. The ball is in a week. Do not, disappoint us. You know what will happen." She stated, her cold blue eyes staring us down. The staff nodded.

"Yes ma'am!" Everyone said in unison, and scattered off to clean and begin decorating. You looked over at May, who was adjusting her skirt and accessories. May was a special object to the Gleeful twins. This was shown by forcing her to have a shorter skirt on her maids outfit than the rest of us. Her skirt came up to her thighs, while the rest of the maids' skirts were below the knee. She was also made to wear some cat ears and a tail, to go along with her bell. You had always admired May, as she was only a year older than you, and the first friend you made when arriving in Reverse Falls. You watched her as she quickly walked over to the shelf, to grab her feather duster. Just then, someone grabbed your neck and began choking you. Your attention quickly turned to see Dipper, hand around your neck and squeezing tighter. Your hands flew up to his arm, trying to get out of this strong grip. You began feeling lightheaded. Dipper growled at you.

"Weren't you told to get back to work?" He snarled, tightening the grip around your throat. You choked and coughed, trying to escape the deadly grip. Soon he dropped you on the ground, straightened his glove, and walked off. You sat up, gasping for air. May walked over to you, brushing your (h/c) bangs out of your face.

"I told you honey.. You okay?" She said, in her normal shy voice.

"Y-yeah.. I'm fine." You said, standing up and dusting yourself off. May stood up next to you. She was at least a few inches taller than you, but that was okay. No one would be able to tell unless the two of you were standing back to back, and completely still. She nodded, straightening her short skirt again. She dusted off some dirt that had gotten on her apron, where a light green pawprint was sewn on. It was the same color as the tips of her hair.

"Alright then, I've got to go um.. Feed the hellpig. (Mabel's pet, Waddles) I'll see you later (Y/n)." And with that, she smiled and ran off.

"Okay. See ya later." You waved. Sighing again, you grabbed the broom, and once again began sweeping the (sparkling clean) floor.
