Y/N's POV
--------------
Numb.

That was all you felt.

No pain, no anger, no sadness.
Just, numb.

You sat on the cold floor of the hallways in your school.

Another day of being shoved, pushed around and getting called some ridiculous names was finaly over.

You didn't get it. You did nothing wrong. Maybe it was just because of you, yourself.

Yeah, you thought, that's why.

You couldn't help being hated for practically doing anything. You sighed.

You heard slight footsteps getting louder and louder, alerting you that someone was heading this way.

You didn't have anywhere to hide.
So you just did what anyone's last resort would be.

The armadillo.
[Hehe, Zack and Cody anyone?]

Just curl up in a ball repeatedly saying, 'Please don't hurt me. Please don't hurt me.'

You never thought it would work until now, when the footsteps stopped and you felt someone's body heat radiating towards you.

"Um..are you okay?"

Sounded like a...guy?

You looked up, still sniffling, and see a concerned look across a beautiful human-being's face.

He cleared his throat awkwardly.
"Uh..hey, I'm Jacob. I just heard some sobs and I just, um..yeah."

Your lips twitched a little but you forced it away.

"Oh...probably just the mice around here."
You reply, wiping your glasses on your shirt.

"Right..."
You saw his face turn a little red as he scratched the back of his neck.

You smiled at him, getting on your feet as he did the same.
"We should go home, huh? It's getting pretty late."

His eyes shot up to meet yours.
"Sure, where do you live?"

"Just down the road, not far."
You shrugged.

"Great! Let's go."
He grabs your hand and leads you out of the school.

Whether it was from too much crying or your head hurting, you felt a light buzz in your stomach when he held your hand.

Took him a while to realize but when he did, his cheeks and ears turned red.
Like really, really red.

You internally frowned as he let go but relieved at the same time as he started to talk.

You knew alot about him in the end, especially the fact that he lived just a block down.

You smiled and waved goodbye to him as you entered the house.

And for once, you were happy that school happened.
