"I don't understand why you are so caught up on this ell." Faith sighs.

"Because he knows something that I don't! He is hiding something and I am going to find out exactly what that something is!" Huffing in responds to her none cooperation.

She turns to me and apple in hand. "Sure everyone has secrets. What if he is just hiding how small his dick is? Guys can be very insecure you know." She bites into her apple smirking.

I roll my eyes. "I don't think the size of is dick is what he is hiding. That has nothing to do with the problem at hand!"

"Ell, what exactly is the problem at hand? So what he's hiding something. Don't you hide things?"

"Well yes, but this is different Faith! I thought best friends were supposed to be on each other's side!" I ask putting on a hurt face.

Faith put her apple down and turned to look at me. "Ell, you know I'm always going to be on your side I just don't want you messing with him. He is a dangerous guy and, me being the good friend that I am, is looking out for you by telling you to drop it."

I get up from the lunch table letting my hands rest on the tabletop. "Well if your not going to help me than I guess I am on my own." I storm out of the lunch room bag in hand.

I hear footsteps behind me. "Ell! Where are you going? What are you doing?" She jogs to catch up. "Come on slow down!" I keep my steady pace. "Angel." Faith hisses.

I stop at the office doors and spin on my heels. "I am going to find out what he is hiding, but first I will gain information on him; see what I'm working with."

"You can't treat this like its some video game!" She hisses. I roll my eyes and push the door to the office open. Faith grabs my hand stopping me. "What are you doing!" She screeches.

"Well first I'm going to look at his student profile, then I'm going to see if I can find anything online, then if that doesn't work I will confront him in person." I say without hesitation.

"Oh my goodness my best friend is a psychopath! You could get arrested for this if you get caught! You know ruin your whole life!"

I smirk, "good thing I won't get caught especially with you helping me."

Her mouth gulped like a fish, "W-wait I never agreed on the Ells!"

I grab her hand pulling her into the office with me. The receptionist, Mrs. Franks, looks up from her desk with a polite smile. "May I help you ladies?"

"We set up an appointment with principal Hook for 12:45 today. We were suppose to meet in his office." I reply instantly with a friendly smile.

"Well Mr. Hook is currently at lunch but I'm sure he wouldn't mind if you took a seat in his office while you wait." She replied sweetly, then continued to her work.

"You are insane!" Faith whispers to me.

"I know but you love me!"

She huffs in response.

I open the door to Mr. Hooks office and turn to Faith. "You wait outside, knock on the door if you see anyone coming."

She nods her head while I go to the filing cabinet. It's a good thing the camera in Mr. Hooks room deletes it's footage in less than thirty minutes to record new footage.

I try to open up the drawer but it's locks, so I hurry over to his desk and search around.

Nothing. The keys aren't anywhere!

I look around the room one last time and notice a safe in the far left of the room.

Shit. A four space code.

I look around for any signs of what it might be but come up short. I pick up a picture frame to find a picture of Mr. Hook with his wife on their wedding day. A beautiful picture. The frame was also very eloquent and beautifuly designed. In the middle of the frame was there wedding year; engraved in the metal. 1974.

Oh my goodness 1974! A series of four numbers!

I run over to the safe and punch in the numbers. A satisfying click was heard and I opened the safe. I found a row of keys and grabbed the one labeled files.

The key made a perfect match and I pulled the drawer open. A's, D's, F's, ah-ha! J's.

While looking through the files I heard a faint knock. Shit, shit, shit! I fumble through the files and find Jay. I open is almost none existent file and take pictures of everything present. Contact info, medication records, the usual.

I place the file back in its place close the drawer, run to the safe place the keys back on the rack and shut the safe back just before Mr. Hook walks in.

"Miss Locket, I wasn't aware that we set up an appointment." He looks at me with accusing eyes.

"Oh, how strange I sent you an email asking about having a library assistant and you said we could talk about it this Friday." I say my brows furrowed.

"Oh, I seem to recall now. Well I think it is a splendid idea!" I never emailed him. "Why don't you fill in the position since you are so passionate about the subject!" He said pure enthusiasm in his voice.

"I would love to sir but-"

"Perfect! Than it is settled. After school you will help maintain the library. It's quite good volunteer work!" He interrupts.

I let out an inaudible sigh, "Of course Mr. Hook. It would be my pleasure." I smile before walking out to a frazzled Faith.

"Did you get caught? Are you getting suspended? You can't leave me with Jordan!" She shot out.

"No I did not get caught, no I did not get suspended, and you were left with Jordan before I even got here!" I reassured her.

"And what hell that was."

We laugh and the day is back to normal.

At home I sit on my bed looking at the photos of Lincoln's file. Nothing there is nothing I can use.

His current residency is not even in the state. His medicals seem almost nonexistent. His contact information is even his uncles phone number! What was I suppose to do?

I do notice for a guy who everyone thinks is dangerous he doesn't have any criminal records. He's a clean man.

Well next step Google.
