After searching all night we eventually gave up with no luck of finding Safire. I sat on my side of the bed listening to Faiths sleeping form as I laid there thinking. It was strange that I no longer felt the sharp pains in my head. although what quite frankly creeped me out was that silhouette with magnificent golden eyes.
Those eyes seemed to draw me into a trance like state, making any movement impossible. The way those eyes bore into my own made me feel as if all my secrets were no longer mine to keep. As if my childhood memories were being flipped through page by page. It was a confusing feeling really. I wanted so badly to look away and run for my safety, but at the same time I couldn't seem to tear my eyes away form the inhuman ones of the silhouette.
It frightened me. How I became paralyzed from just the intense gaze. however, what terrified me the most is that I know the silhouette was not human. Those eyes, which were like no other, did not belong to a mundane individual.
Whatever I saw out there in those woods I hope to never see again. I did not want to get involved in some life that was alien to my own. Although I myself do not think I am crazy and psychotic, others most definitely will so what I saw tonight isn't getting shared with a single soul.
I was not ready to be put in a mental institution. Actually I don't think I ever will be ready for that but that's besides the point.
Right now all I need is sleep and sleep I will have. I snuggled into my pillow as sleep took me away from my troubles.

Faith and Jordan left this morning to go to the lake nearby leaving me on my own to continue my hunt for Safire. They offered to help but I wasn't about to ruin their fun so I had insisted they go without me and enjoy themselves.
It was already noon and the souls of my feet were killing me. I searched every nook and cranny and still had no luck in finding her. it was nerve racking. There was no way in hell I was leaving without her.
I was on my way back to the cabin when a blur of pink caught my eye. I stopped to investigate. Bending down to the ground I moved the few leaves that covered the item and found that it was Safire's collar.
I was relieved that at least I had found some type of clue that would lead me closer to wear she could be. Instead of continuing back to the cabin I went in the opposite direction in hopes of finding my baby girl.
I walked along a small path that was nearly covered by the colorful leaves of fall. I would soon have to take a brake as my legs were starting to burn from all the walking I was doing.
Eventually I took a seat on a large rock a few feet from the small path. I was tiered and all my energy had been drained so when I landed on the rough rock I found it easy to doze off. I will only rest my eyes. I told myself.
I felt someone kick my feet repeatedly before I groaned in response. Faith I swear. The kicking continued until I finally spoke up, "What the hell." I groggily replied as I slowly rose from the rock already feeling the tension in my back. I peeled open my eyes and noticed that I may have done more than just rest my eyes. The sky had already turned a dark blue indicating it was close to dark. I cursed myself for not paying more attention but what can I say? I was exhausted from the resent events.
Looking up from the ground I come face to face with not Faith but the devil himself, Lincoln. That bastard. He was wearing a black v-neck, that clung to his body in all the right places, along with a dark pair of jeans that hung low on his hips showing off the prominent v that disappeared into the waist off his jeans. It left me to wonder just what was below the safety of his waistband.
"I believe this belongs to you." He said as he stepped aside to reveal Safire sitting at his heals.
I was ecstatic that Safire was okay and that I could finally stop my search. "Oh my goodness." I gasped as Safire ran towards me and began to lick my face.
I pulled Safire's collar out of my back pocket and slipped it around her neck. Making sure to tighten it securely as to prevent any further escapes.
The rustle of leaves reminds me that I'm not alone. I glance up at Lincoln to find him already looking at me. His eyes connect with mine as we sit in silence.
I clear my throat at the tension between us. "Well um, thanks I guess." I stammer as I get up from the rough surface of the rock.
He only looks at me before he turns on his heels and starts to walk away. Before he is out of hearing range he looks over his shoulder, "So irresponsible. How do you manage?" With that he walked away out of sight.
Well that little bastard! Who does he think he is. I've been nothing but nice to the little shit and all I get is "So irresponsible" or "I'm not lifting a fucking finger." How inconsiderate. Although he did bring Safire back. But how did he know she belonged to me? She doesn't have a dog tag?
{Unknown POV}
She is like a lamb surrounded by a pack of wolfs. So innocent and pure. She does not know of the dangers of our world, but soon enough she will find out.
It is only a matter of time before she is within our grasp. No longer will she be a lamb, but perhaps a pile of bones at my feet. I will relish in her cries for help:her screams of pain.
"My lord, dinner is served."
A fragile lamb is placed in my hands. I stroke it's fine fur cooing soothing words to the small creature as a mother would do to a child. then without warning I grab the neck of the lamb and twist until I hear the satisfaction of bones cracking.
Oh how excited I am for her arrival.
