Chapter Nineteen: Answers

"Danai we're so sorry!" Ajax and Jase got up from their seats and hugged me.

"Sorry for what?" I gave them a weird look.

"Well we kind of knew about this whole Ivan being your father thing when you got back from the mall an-" Jase started to explain.

"Wait! Is that why you acted all weird today?" I cut her off.

"Yes, but we wanted Ivan to say it himself! It wasn't our place to give out that information be-"

"You could have at least gave me a warning 'Hey Danai your about to meet your real father who you have never seen before in your life!' That would have been nice to know!"

This was when Ivan cut in. "Danai, it's not their fault. I made them promise not to tell you. Don't blame them. Blame me."

I shook my head at how inconsiderate I was being. "I'm sorry I haven't even thought of that. It's just that I have trust issues and this situation is helping."

"It's okay, sweetie. You have a lot to think about right now." Jase hugged me.

"Hold on." I hugged her back. "If you knew, then why were you so sad?"

"We were afraid to lose you. We don't want you to move away and never see us again." Jase looked at me with sad eyes.

"Why would I be moving?" I was confused now. I never said anything about moving.

"Since your my daughter than you'll be moving in with me and Adonis." Ivan explained to me.

"What?" I heard the boys yell out.

I turned around and there was Ace, Elias, and Paris looking angry, sad, and shocked.

"What do you mean she's moving out?" Elias shouted. "That's not fair!"

"She can't move out!" Ace said with a hurt look on his face.

"Danai, please don't move!" Paris asked me with puppy dog eyes. Aw! He was so cute with puppy dog eyes!

"I'm sorry boys but she is going to live with me. You can always co-" Ivan was cut off.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa there." I turned my attention to him. "Have you even asked me yet if I want to move in with you?"

"No but-" He continued.

"No but anything. I'm living with the Vanderbilt's for now, If that's okay?" I turned to Jase and Ajax who looked shocked. "I have a lot to think about and you just don't come into my life and tell me what to do. Adonis may have let you, but not me. You have to earn my trust. You just don't assume the role of father dearest."

"Fine." I heard him huff. "Just because that's what I would say if I were you."

"Okay. Then it's settled." I nodded my head. "Now time for the questions."

"Why did you give me up?" I asked bluntly.

At the moment me and Ivan were sitting in a living room type area. I thought that this conversation should be in private and he thought the same. I probably will cry and that's not something I want the boys to see or anyone for that matter.
