Chapter 26

Annabeth
I was lying in bed watching a movie and Percy walked in the room and said "Annabeth, I just realized something." I paused the movie and said "What did ya realize, seaweed brain?" "That birth certificates are basically baby receipts." I face palmed and asked "was that really necessary me pausing my movie." He smirked and said "Just kidding. I wanted to tell you I'm going to the store you want anything?" I took a deep breath for this is going to be awhile... I have a lot of cravings. "Can you get mini donuts, bacon, m&ms, cupcakes, pickles, strawberries... Do you want me to make a list?" He nodded and I pulled out a note pad. When he looked at the list, his eyes widened. "Okay, Annabeth. I'm going to let you pick three things off this list or we would finish off our monthly budget three weeks in advance. I frowned and said"Okay, i want the pickles, strawberries, and Red Velvet Oreos." He nodded and said "Okay, I love you!" He kissed me and left. I played the movie and eventually fell asleep.

Percy
I looked at the list and decided to surprise her with one more thing. Some of this stuff I haven't even heard of. What is Pocky? Well that's what I'll get her. She put a dash next to it, saying it was Japanese candy. I picked up everything I needed and got what Annabeth wanted. I walked to the check out line and because I'm the least lucky person without annabeth, the line was long and who was in front of me? Cara. I sighed when she said "Hey Percy! I was wondering if you wanted to, you know, go out tonight?" She was twirling her hair around her finger and it made me want to be sick. "No. Tonight I'm going to stay with my wife. Whom I love more than anything on Earth so if you wouldn't mind, I need you to leave me the Hades alone or I will unleash the powers of the seas. So leave me and my wife alone or I will snap your neck and drown you." I said it all with a mock smile and when she was finished she said "See you tonight! Be at Ellens!" She finished paying and wheeled around to kiss me. I turned around and she tripped over her own two feet. "I pointed to my wedding band and said "Im married. Leave Annabeth and I alone." I payed and walked out.

When I got home I went upstairs to check on Annabeth and she was asleep but there was also someone with her, stroking her hair. It was Andrew. He didn't see me and I punched him in the face. "How. The. Hell. Did. You. Get in here?" I asked calmly "The door was unlocked. When I knocked and no one answered, I let myself in to find my little Annabeth with no Percy in sight." He was smirking so I punched again "Shes my Annabeth, and stop touching her, IF YOU HURT EVEN A HAIR ON HER HEAD I SWEAR ON THE RIVER STYX I WILL KILL YOU!" Annabeth stirred and I put my arms around her and kissed her forehead. She started screaming and thrashing. She woke up in tears and I said "Nightmare?" She nodded and I pulled her closer. "Get out of my house and never do that again." Annabeth looked up and asked "Percy what are you talking about?" She looked at Andrew and her face immediately changed to a sneer. "What are you doing here?" She hissed at him. He smiled and said "Oh annabeautiful, I was just watching you sleep. Percy was gone long enough for me to know he might not come back to you and i wanted to be here for you when you found out." She looked at me and said "P-Percy is that t-true?" She had tears in her eyes and I hugged her closer. "No that's not true I was at the grocery store. I was gone for at the most two hours. I left the door unlocked because I didn't know you were napping." She nodded and put her head back on my chest. "Get out of my house before I call the police. Which I will also do because you broke in my house!" I felt Annabeth nod and he left. "I love you Annabeth." She was already asleep.
