((Teeny time skip from the Institute to here.))
-Alec's P.O.V.-
We were in an abandoned field on the Long Island side of New York. Clary, Jace, Isabelle, Magnus, and I, were standing in a circle back to back. Isabelle's necklace was lit, showing demon activity. We could hear the demons, but couldn't see them. Raphael set us up, he was supposed to be here. The entire point of us leaving our homes was to find Azazel, the Greater Demon.
"Magnus," I whispered, "could you give us some light?"
Magnus snapped his fingers and a ball of blue light appeared in his hand, illuminating the space around us. We could see Shakks demons and Forsaken at the edges of the field, but they weren't coming for us. Raphael suddenly appeared in front of me. "Pleasure for you to finally show up," Magnus said between clenched teeth. He was clearly pissed off that it had taken Raphael so long to get here.
Raphael smirked, "I don't have any information for you, so I don't see why you called me here."
"That's a load of-" Jace started but I stopped him.
"Jace, stop. Raphael, make the demons go away and let's talk about this."
"Deal," he smirked and made the demons leave.
"Raphael," I said, "We know you know about Azazel."
"Maybe I do, Maybe I don't. I could tell you for sure, but for the right price," he said, stealing Magnus' line. Knowing it would make the both of us angry.
"Name it," Magnus said with a deadly voice. I had only heard that tone of voice with Magnus before, when he broke up with me. That voice terrified me.
"Sanctuary," Raphael said.
"What," Clary spoke up, "You want us to give you sanctuary after all the hell you've put us through?"
"I've helped you more than I have ruined you Clarissa. And I want Sanctuary because I have other Vampires after me."
"It's a deal," Isabelle said exasperatedly, "We'll hide you when you need it."
"Isabelle," I complained. Knowing that it would probably be up to Magnus to hide him.
"It's getting dangerous out here and we need to go," she snapped, "now tell us Raphael."
"The Shakk's demons are working for Azazel, and they let it slip one day," he shrugged, "He's wreaking havoc in Australia right now."
"Perfect," Jace said with his usual sarcasm.
"Looks like we're going to Australia," Clary whispered, it sounded like she was crying. With that, Raphael disappeared.
