  -Clary's POV-

Jace was on to me. But I couldn't tell him. He wouldn't let me go on the mission. Not if he knew what was really wrong with me. "What's the plan," I asked again when no one answered. Everyone was staring at me, I was out of breath and panting.
"Clary are you okay," Magnus spoke up.
"I'm fine," I said, exasperatedly.
Magnus rolled his eyes and Isabelle said, "Okay, Raphael agreed to meet us in some abandoned fields in Long Island. He claims he doesn't know anything, but I think otherwise. If we can get him to tell us about Azazel, then we can truly start the mission."
"What if it's a trap," Alec asked.
"Alec," Jace said, "you know we don't have time for any 'what if's'. "
"I know, but we could be ambushed and Clary clearly-"
"It isn't your job to worry about me Alec," I snapped.
"No but it is my job to worry about keeping my brother from becoming an emotional wreck," he growled.
"We will be fine," I growled back.
"Okay, but if something happens to you, I'm going to be the one who gets to say, 'I told you so,' " he said and stalked out. Magnus following after him.
I sighed and turned to Jace, who was staring at me in shock. Isabelle looked the same, "What?"
"N-nothing," Jace mumbled and looked away.
"Ugh," I said and walked out. I needed to be alone, people are so stupid. I can't tell them what's wrong with me, not yet. I have to go on this mission.
