I listened to Alec's message with tears pouring down my face. I loved him, I wanted to be with him. I can imagine him, away from everyone and crying. But, I have to take care of Clary. Why couldn't she get pregnant any other time. I mean, what if I wanted to start a family with Alec. We had been talking about it, but never took action. We have talking about getting married and never did anything. I was ready to settle with Alec. I was finally ready to settle, and start searching for a spell to make him immortal. Or me mortal.
I just wanted to move on, was that too much to ask? Apparently to Clary it was, she woke up grumbling about cravings and she made her morning sickness dramatic. I think it's just the hormones. So I giver her a pass, I am going to have to be dealing with this for some time anyway. Until Alec gets back and Jace can take care of her.
I sighed and began my long day without seeing it Alec.
