Beach talks

Jordan's POV
It's the middle of the week now and Lacey has told our parents that I am with her in LA. My parents were furious of course but also just relieved. I'm grounded once I get back. They said in supposed to go straight to the animal shelter after school (AKA pick up Dems and hangout with her) and then come straight home. Which really isn't that bad if you think about it. Anyway they agreed to let me stay here the rest of the week and I don't know how but Lacey convinced them to not force me to go to Harvard. "Come on Jordan! Everyone is waiting!" Lacey says "Alright just give me 10 minutes." I say We were all going to the beach to meet up with the rest of our group. And by we I mean Myself,Lacey and Demi since the asshole has afternoon classes. "You never take this long to get ready!" Demi whines "Yea only when she's about to hangout with Alex." Lacey teases as I roll my eyes. "Oh right Jordan's wittle cushy wushy." Demi says pinching my cheeks and talking in a baby voice. "Shut up!" I say playfully shoving her back onto the bed. "So jumpy Jordan thinking about confessing you're undying love to her?" Lacey says dramatically. "Maybe..I don't know I'm just tired of not knowing you know?" I say "Yea I get it. It's hard not knowing if the other person likes you back or not. But I promise that once you find out a weight will be lifted off your shoulders no matter what the result." Lacey says "Yea but kid listen she's 19 right and you're only 17-" Demi starts "I'm turning 18 in a couple of weeks!" I say cutting her off "Don't remind me! My baby sister is growing up!" Lacey says smothering me in kisses. "Ew get off!" I say pushing her as she laughs. "Anyway as I was saying. You should be prepared to hear the worst. But if she breaks her heart I'm going to break her spine." Demi says in almost a growl. "Whoa Demi chill. No need to do that look I'm ready to hear whatever she says. No matter what we'll still be friends. Always." I say as a memory flashes in my head.
Flashback
I was probably around 12 and so Lacey was 14 and so was Alex. They were having a sleepover so I decided to join in. Which they were completely fine with. "Alright Jordan Truth or Dare?" Lacey asks as Alex was in the bathroom. "Dare!" I say confidently she smirks "Alright I dare you to annoy the shit out of Alex until you piss her off." She says "That's soooo easy!" I say just as Alex comes out of the bathroom. "What's so easy?" She asks "Mario Kart!" Lacey answers. "Aleeeeexxxxx will you play Mario Kart with me!!!" I whine knowing she hates the game. "Fine but only if get to be Princess Peach." She says rolling her eyes. "No I want to be princess peach!!!" I say stomping my foot like a five year old. "But you're always Luigi I thought he was your favorite?" She asks "Well things change so you can be bowser because you act like him in the morning" I say laughing "I do not!" She says getting fired up "Do to!" I argue "Do not!" "Do to!" "Do not!" We go on like this until she finally breaks. "Ugh that's it! Lacey your little sister is so fucking annoying! I did not come here to argue with a 12 year old!" Alex yells leaving both of us speechless. She leaves the room as Lacey and I both look at each other. "Um maybe I should fill her in" I say Lacey just nods. I went downstairs to see Alex sitting on the couch with her hands running through her long blonde hair. "Alex?" I say softly "Go away brat!" She growls and there's that familiar sting in my heart. "Alex I'm sorry for pissing you off. Lacey dared me to annoy the shit out of you until you were pissed. I didn't actually want to piss you off this badly just a little so that you'd laugh when i told you." I explain "You're such a dick!" She says smiling I rolled my eyes. "So are we still friends?" I ask hopeful "Of course babe. Always."
I smiled at the memory as I put my mascara down. Checking the myself in the mirror one last time. "Hey Demi do I look okay?" I ask nervously "Jordan you look beautiful. Although I prefer your natural look but whatever makes you happy." She says i smile "Thanks Dems!" I say as we head out of the room we were sharing which was at the end of the hallway while Lacey and Derek's was the first door on the right across from the bathroom. I've been here maybe a few times so I know the place well enough to find my way around. "Finally I thought you would never come out of that room." Lacey groans looking up from her phone. "Are they over there already?" I ask "Yup! All four of them." She says I smile brightly as I get into the backseat of her car. Lacey drove over to Venice beach as I grinned at the idea of seeing my friends again. I haven't seen them since the summer that they left for LA. We arrived at the beach and made our way through the hot beach sand to the group. "Jordan!!!!" Cassie screams as she starts running towards me. Then I am suddenly tackled to the ground by Cassie herself. "Cas!! Get off!!" I whine "sorry babes I just missed you!" She says laughing letting me get up. "I missed you too dude." I say smiling "Hot damn is that who I think it is?" Mason asks as the rest of them catch up. "Yup! Everyone meet Demi Lovato,Dems meet everyone." I say "Whoa Jordan I don't think I've ever seen you wear makeup." Alex says chuckling which made my heart beat faster. Her blonde hair was wet probably from being in the ocean. Her light green eyes were still as mesmerizing as i remember them being and her pink lips were practically kissable. "What the fuck!" I shout as I feel a bucket of water being poured over me. "And that is for when you got me with the water gun at prom!" Nathan says "You're such a dick!" I say rolling my eyes. Great my makeup is probably ruined. "Alright enough you two. Who's up for some soccer?" Mason asks "Yea!" We all shout "Alright Captains will be Lacey and I everyone else line up." Mason says The teams were Lacey,Demi and I against Mason,Nate and Alex. Cassie decided to be the ref. We were all pretty competitive so when Alex and I went head to head she practically pushed me out of the way and scored. "Goal!!!!!" She shouts "Cheater!" I say as I get back "Aww is little Jordan mad?" She asks "You just wait Evans!" I shout as I get back up. "Whatever you say Parker" she teases as I roll my eyes as I spot an opportunity to get her back and go for it. "Wait you get back here!" She shouts "catch me if you can!" I say as I kick the ball to Demi before I'm tackled to the ground. Somehow Alex and I landed so that our faces were inches away. Her green eyes stared into my brown ones. Our moment was cut short by a whistle from Nate. "Come on love birds we've got a game to finish!" Mason says we both chuckled as we got up. The game was over ten minutes later when Demi scored the winning Goal. "Damn Lovato didn't know you were good at soccer." Mason says "It's in my blood!" She says smiling. "Hey aren't you going to talk to Alex?" Lacey whispers to me "Yea I'm just waiting for the right moment." I say back "Well here it is." She says as I look at her confused "Hey who's up to go surfing?" She yells as I make an O face. Alex and I both hate going to far in the ocean cause of our fear of sharks. "Yeah!" Everyone yells "You coming kid? " Demi asks "Nah you go ahead." I say she nods "So I guess it's just you and me babe." Alex says throwing her arm over my shoulders since she's an inch or two taller than me. "Yep let's sit." I say as I sit on the now cool sand since the sun was setting. As I watch Nate catch a huge wave I take a deep breath. It's now or never. "Hey Alex?" I say "Yea?" She says looking at me with those green eyes. "Um uh I really don't know how to say this but. I'vehadacrushonyousinceiwas12." I say that last part really fast. "Whoa slow down I couldn't understand a thing you said." She says chuckling. I look back out at the ocean while I still feel her eyes on me. "I've had a crush on you since I was 12." I say slowly "You do?" She asks I look at her and nod. "I just needed to tell you. If you don't feel the same way I'll under-" As I start rambling she leans in closer until our lips touch making me shut up. She pulls back smiling "I've been waiting to do that for the longest time" she says "So what does this mean for us?" I ask "Well do you want to be my girlfriend?" She asks I smile as my heart beats out of my chest. "Hell yes!" I say as she laughs kissing me again as we fall back with her on top of me as I wrap my arms around her neck. Her lips were so soft and she was so gentle and definitely not trying to rush anything. "Whoa Alex please don't take my little sister's virginity in front of me." Lacey says as we both pull back laughing "So?" Mason asks "We're dating now" I say "Yes you finally grew some balls! Congrats Jordan!" Nate says "Actually Alex asked me to be her girlfriend." I say "Oh you are so whipped!" Demi says "Am not!" I say "Are to!" She says "Fine whatever" I say rolling my eyes. We walked around the beach for a while until we all decided to go back to our dorms. I hugged them all goodbye and kissed Alex once more. Mason offered to drive us back to our dorm since the douche stole the keys from Lacey. "Thanks for driving us Mason!" Lacey says hugging him. "No problem!" He says I hugged him next. "Grow a pair and ask her out already!" I whisper as he rolls his eyes Demi and him did some sort of handshake thing then we all went inside the dorm. "Oh hey guys back already?" Derek says trying to act calmly. "Yea we all had tons of fun!" I say "That's great! Babe can I talk to you for a sec?" He says I saw the fear in my sister's eyes as she nodded. They went into their room and Derek shut the door. "WHO THE FUCK WAS THAT!!!!!!!" Oh fuck!
