Months after the incident, the awarded A-shift of 51 casually lined up together for roll call on the rainy Monday morning

"Back to the ol' grind?" Miranda asked as her and her paramedic partners packed their shiny new Squad truck with their gear

"As if" Johnny said opening the fresh boxes of gear and packed them in. It had only been 2 months since the accident and since then, the station had been shut down since they didn't have a full A-shift and no squad car. Today was the opening day and it was celebrated across the county

"Here's your formal uniforms" Captain Hank Stanley said dropping 3 boxes on the ground next to Roy as he cleaned off the windshield

"Hats too?" Miranda asked as she popped out the side of the truck with her wavy brown hair dangling

"Yup. You'll need to get them tailored and soon" he ordered. Everything was back to normal. Or at least as normal as it could be at the Firehouse. The crew groaned as Captain Stanley scoffed softly and walked out of the bay, and into the common area to sit with his coffee and paper. The rest of the readied themselves for just another shift.
