Two days went by and Johnny and Roy were discharged and Miranda was admitted into a normal room.

"Ready to get out of your own room?" Dixie teased

"No" Miranda said getting into a wheelchair. She always said that she never wanted to be brought around the hospital in a bed as long as there was a breath of air in her. So a wheelchair was the next best thing, "Ya know," She said in her normal British accent, "As long as there my heart is beating, I will never be shipped around in a bed" She said. Dixie rolled her eyes and kissed the top of her mentee's head

"Whatever you say sweetie" Dixie said

Through two floors and down a couple hallways, they had arrived in her normal admitting room with Mr. Roy DeSoto and Mr. Johnny Gage waiting for her in her room

"Pop a squat boys" Dixie said wheeling her in. The paramedics nodded and sat down with their flowers in hand

"Those are really pretty" Miranda said as Dixie put some new I.V.'s in her arm. No one liked getting pricked with the needles, and even though the three are paramedics, they are no different. They just sometimes give them,"How many are you doing Dix?" Miranda hissed as she added in the third needle, "My arms only so big!" She gritted

"4 in total. You really messed yourself up this time doll" Dixie said checking the last one and then sticking it. This one was on her skinny right wrist and in the most tender part of her arm.

"Shit Dixie!" She winced, "I'd much rather have it on my leg or even in my thigh!" She hissed

"Quit whining doll" Dixie laughed. The guys just sat in the corner, trying not to laugh. Finally Miranda moved out of the wheelchair and into the bed. She invited the guys to come closer

"So what's the damage?" She asked back to her normal British tough and giggly self

"6 Broken ribs, minor concussion, and lower lumbar strain" Johnny said

"4 Broken ribs, broken wrist and a minor concussion. Oh and a minorly pulled hamstring" Roy said

"Ouch" Randi said with a drunk chuckle. The guys were baffled and looked at each other and laughed

"You kidding me?" Johnny blurted. Dixie chuckled at her paramedic friend's reaction

"You are the one that could've died and had to be in the ICU for 5 days!" Roy said with a half smile. Randi nodded as if she just remembered

"I know. I'm on so many meds" she said looking at her nurse, "That I can't even tell!". The guys nodded in agreeance

"You'll be out in a few days. Mr. Leonard called and said that he has the kids at your home now and they'll be here later today after school." Dixie said with a smile. Randi nodded with a forced smile. She wasn't to fond of her old husband and lifelong boyfriend anymore.

"I got you a new record if you want to listen to it"

"I'm clear?" Miranda said as her eyes lit up like a child's

"For sounds.. But that's it." Dixie said with her flirty smirk

"Put it on!" Miranda ordered. Dixie nodded and brought it in with a record player and put it as close to the bed as possible and Miranda popped it on. It was The Seekers "Don't think twice, it's alright" played through the speakers. Miranda grinned widely with her pearly white smile and the boys chuckled

"This is great!" Johnny agreed. Roy looked very confused along with Dixie as Miranda blankly stared at him

"Secrets out!" She said with a big sarcastic smile. Roy looked at both of them multiple times and shook his head and smiled. Like he didn't expect it

"Betcha didn't see that one coming eh?" Johnny said stretching his back as much as he could before he would barrel over to Roy. Miranda threw the packaging from the record at him playfully. He caught it and smiled,

"So" she said looking at the people in the room, "who wants to take notes?" She said opening the rest of the equipment in the other packages. Dixie and Johnny looked at Roy and he sighed and pulled up a chair as she set up the travel sized recording gear.

Well.. I'm not editing this ending, I know it isn't that good, but I am too pumped on my other stories to bother with this 😂
