"I don't know..." Cora paused to look at me when I walked into Derek's loft with Stiles. She sighed and mustered up a small smile, "Derek wasn't like this when we knew him." She admitted.
"Well, then what was he like?" I asked now joining the conversation.
I stood by Stiles as we listened intently to whatever there was to say.
"A lot like Scott, actually." Peter replied as he walked down the spiral staircase and over toward us. I rolled my eyes at his presence. "A lot like most teenagers. Unbearably romantic, profoundly narcissistic, tolerable really only to other teenagers."
I cocked my head to the side with a condescending smile on my face, "You're not tolerable to anyone, so it looks like Derek has an advantage over you."
Stiles smiled at my comment and put out his hand for a high five, in which I graciously slapped.
"And so what happened to him? What changed him?" Cora asked longing to know.
"Well, the same thing that changes a lot of young men...a girl." Peter smirked eyeing me.
"You're telling me that some girl broke his little heart? That's why Derek is the way he is?" Stiles asked while trying to hold back a small laugh.
"Do you remember Derek before he was an Alpha had blue eyes? Do you know why some wolves have blue eyes?"
"I just always thought it was, like, a genetic thing." Stiles shrugged, his arms crossing over his chest.
Peter chuckled dryly, letting his head fall back slightly. I looked away feeling a sudden wave of guilt.
"Why don't we ask Lainy here why some wolves have blue eyes?" Peter suggested giving me a condescending look.
"Don't call me that." I snapped, scowling at Peter.
"I guess we have something in common, Lainy." He sighed letting his eyes morph into a blue.
"We have nothing in common," I shook my head and crossed my arms, refusing to look back at him.
"If you want to know what changed Derek, you need to know what changed the color of his eyes." Peter stated.
Derek killed someone.

"El! Some friends are here to see you!" My uncle shouted from the bottom of the staircase and I immediately lifted my head up from looking down at my homework in a panic and udder shock.
Friends?
I shut my binder and quickly made my way downstairs.
"You know, I was starting to get worried," I heard my uncle say as I descended down the staircase, "She hasn't mentioned anyone from school yet, so it's definitely a surprise to see you two at the door- a good surprise of course!"
"Oh no," I whined rolling my eyes and then looking to see Allison and Lydia.
"Her mother told me that she was never very good at making friends-"
"Okay that's enough," I stopped him before he could say anything else. I nervously smiled before looking over at Allison and Lydia.
"Lydia and I are on our way to get see a movie, and were wondering if you wanted to come with us," Allison invited me giving me a sincere smile.
"Um..." I shifted uncomfortably unsure if I wanted too.
"Please," Lydia said catching me off guard, seeing how she's been cold toward me since we met.
"Sure." I nodded and walked out with them and into Lydia's car.
I stared blankly out the window for most of the ride, but when we pulled into the school parking lot I was more alert to what was happening.
"Lydia, why are we at the school?" Allison asked as Lydia parked.
Lydia froze, her eyebrows furrowed in confusion, "I don't know, but we're going to find out."
We all stepped out of her car and walked closer to the school.
"I can feel it," Lydia stated and it sunk into Allison what we were doing, however I was still confused.
"What?" I asked.
"There's a dead body somewhere."
"Oh, my god..." I mumbled, "You find dead bodies?"
"Call Stiles," Allison instructed and Lydia was quick to pull out her phone.
I looked around the school, something about being here at night made it feel eerier, especially when there could be a dead body around.
Something in the distance caught my eye, causing me to slowly walk off toward it. Like it was luring me, I was in a trance. Something was gravitating me toward it, and I couldn't stop my feet from walking closer.
"Elaine!" Allison called and I quickly looked back at her, "What are you doing?"
When I looked back to where that figure was, it was gone.
"Uh, nothing." I shook my head and walked back over toward them, just at the same time Stiles' blue jeep pulled into the parking lot.
"Over here." Allison waved, motioning Stiles to rush over toward us.
"Lydia? What happened?"
"It's the same thing. Same thing as the pool. We were driving to see a movie, and ended up here. And you told me to call you if there's a dead body." Lydia explained, her expression unreadable. She was simply blank.
"You found a dead body?" Stiles exclaimed.
"Not yet." Lydia shrugged.
"'Not yet'? What do you mean 'not yet'? Lydia, you're supposed to call us after you find the dead body." Stiles spazzed out once again.
As they continued to argue back and forth, I explored on my own.
However, my heart sunk when I looked into the lifeless eyes that looked back into mine. Lying in front of me was the body of a deputy.
"Guys." I called out to get their attention, while still staring into the eyes of the dead woman. "I found the dead body."
