Nothing is as It Seems (Wattys 2016)

Chapter 8

Casey's POV

                  I got out of the jeep as fast as I possibly could. Neither Stiles nor Stuart seemed to care which made it easy to not feel bad about the decision I was about to make. I walked into the school with no care in the world at the moment. I found Theo leaning against my locker almost as if he was expecting me to go and find him this morning. Which I am glad he saved me the trip, because what we have to talk about is very important.

              Theo waited til I got to my locker to say anything at all. He obviously did not want people to here what he was about to say. 

                "Decided to change your mind you seemed very hellbent against me last night." 

                  "Well somethings have opened my mind to what the better option would have been. You told me you can help control whatever this is, and I need all the help I can definitely get."

                  "The whole controlling is not an issue. It's quit easy actually. Now that you have officially joined my pack, you need to come meet the other members in my pack and after that you and I are skipping today to go control your powers. We have big plans for tonight to disturb a certain pack. Are you sure you can go against your own blood?"

               "They no longer mean anything to me. I was the outsider, and neither of them cared to notice when I did need help. They also no longer want to clue me on what's happening in the pack. Now it's time for me to be what's happening; that can't avoid that way."

                  Apparently there are four other people in the pack. They are Tracey, Cory, Hayden, Josh, and now me. These people accepted me immediately and I felt more at home here then I did in my own house. The first bell rang signalling us to go to class. Theo grabbed my arm and we headed out the front door of the school, to his car. It was a nice car, but not as nice as Derek's. We stopped in a part of the woods with a clearing. I decided to ask a question that i honestly probably did not want to know the answer to. 

             "Where did i get these powers from?"

             "Your mom had them and when she died it went to her only daughter. There is only one of you in the world."

             "Okay, so how do I control this thing. You said it would be easy, let's see if you and my definition of easy is the same." 

              "You just see it happening in your head. You need to close your eyes and imagine it happening. you will be good enough to one day not have to close you eyes. You imagine it happening once you have it memorized open your eyes at looks at the object you picked." 

             I did exactly as I was told. I thought in my head what I wanted to do. I wanted it to rain so I opened my eyes looked towards the sky. I felt a sprinkle run down my cheek,and then the thunder and lightning started up. I don't know what happened; it all just happened so fast. I only wanted it to rain not full on storm. Theo was trying to tell me to stop, but I didn't know how to. I started to panic at this rate Beacon Hills would be flooded in no time.

          Theo told me that I needed to calm down or else it would get worse. I tried I really did. I finally tried thinking of the thing that calmed me down the most during a panic attack and it actually worked. Theo said that I needed to keep my emotions in check while I was using my powers or stuff would go seriously wrong. It had started to get dark when I finally started to get it. I still had to close my eyes but not for very long. I suddenly remember that I need to make a pit stop before tonight, and I told Theo I would meet them and the place and he agreed. I made my pit stop and finally headed to the location Theo had told me.

               Now comes the trouble we are going to cause. Sorry Derek's pack but, we both know I am not. This is my turn to get revenge on all them for barely noticing me and some of them even bullying me. They are not going to now what hit them, which is the way I liked it. We started our plan out at the old abandoned mall. There was a lot of space which is what I needed. 

               The pack finally showed up. I mean if you are gonna save the day at least be on time. The look on their faces as my pack, it was nice to be able to say that, stood in a triangle formation with Theo and I as the top. It felt good to have the element of surprise on there faces. I made sure no on could see me and i finally looked at Derek and nodded and he knew exactly what I meant.
