The campfire crackled as Murphy lazily tossed in the last of the week's firewood. As the last streams of sunlight blazed through the trees, you couldn't help but feel grateful. Just months ago, you had all been at war. Clarke, at one point living completely on her own, was now making jokes with Jasper. Raven, still nursing her injuries, was telling animated, likely exaggerated stories to a crowd of onlookers. Monty was finally looking like he was enjoying himself, sipping a beer while playing some sort of un-tuned stringed instrument. Octavia was off to herself, gazing at the sky with a smile. You knew who she was thinking of, and you were glad that you didn't see any tears tonight. She deserved to be happy, and with the fighting over, she would be soon. You would make sure of it.

And speaking of Blakes, you were so proud of Bellamy. You were proud of him, for fighting so hard not only physically but mentally. You were proud of your relationship, for withstanding so much in so little time. Often times it seemed like the two of you were all each other had left. Now, sitting around the campfire, it was clear that wasn't the case.

He must have picked up on your thoughts, glancing down and placing a kiss on your forehead. "You okay?" he asked with concern. "Better than ever, Bell," you said with a smile. And for the first time in your life, you hadn't answered that question with a lie.
