"So, Crystal, which way to the city?" Leyla asked.

It was early in the morning and they were on their way to the city. There were no Treehorns in sight, which seemed suspicious for Frost because he knew the Treehorns were always walking around.

"This way," Crystal replied while pointing ahead of them.

They continued to walk. None of them talked nor even tried to. They had a lot in their minds, and elemental powers was one of those.

"Hey, if yours is snow, then does that mean I'm ice?" Frost asked his sister.

Crystal shrugged but didn't looked at him. "Dad said that he was able to control snow and ice. So maybe his abilities were divided for each of us, since we're siblings and we share one power source."

"Are we there yet?" Leyla asked, changing the subject. She doesn't really want to talk about powers right now.

"Not quite," Crystal replied. "We still have a lot of ground to cover. But if we keep up this pace without stopping for too long, I'd say we'll get there either noon or sunset."

So, they continued to walk. By sunset, they finally came across what seems like a junkyard in the middle of nowhere.

"Ninjago City is still a long way." Crystal told the two younger descendants. "The people living here might let us stay for the night."

"Look out below!"

The three looked up and saw something diving towards them. It looked like someone with some sort of mechanical wings on their back. They ducked and the person landed in front of them with a thud.

"Ouch! Tough landing." The person said while standing up and dusting himself.

He turned to the three descendants and smiled sheepishly. "Heh, sorry about that." He said. "Just trying an invention."

He was a short boy of 14 and he was wearing a blue shirt, pants and dark blue sneakers. His eyes were an electric blue and he had messy auburn hair. His face was full of freckles and he had a faded scar on his left eye.

"If you don't mind me asking, what were you doing with such a dangerous machine?" Frost asked.

The boy smiled, surprisingly calm to see a robot, before taking off the machine from his back and showing it to them. "My dad and I were trying to fix this invention he made before." He explained. "Unfortunately, we can't get it to work properly. By the way, the name's Jason."

"I'm Crystal." Crystal said. "And this is my brother Frost and our friend Leyla."

"Jason!"

A man with auburn hair and electric blue eyes ran up to them. He was wearing a dark blue shirt, pants and short, yellow, rubber boots.

He looked familiar to Leyla but she shrugged it off. He's probably a different man. She thought to herself.

"Well? What happened? Did it finally worked? Is there something we need to fix?" The man asked.

"I'm fine, Dad. Thanks for asking." Jason said sarcastically.

The man smirked at him and looked at the three descendants. "Well, who do we have here?" He asked in a cheerful tone.

"Good evening, sir." Crystal said politely. "My name is Crystal Julien. This is my brother, Frost. And our friend, Leyla. We were wondering if we could share your roof for the night."

"Julien, huh? Wow. It's been a long time since I've heard that name." The man said thoughtfully.

Frost cocked his head. "Are you friends with our father, sir?" He asked.
