"Come on, Jason! We don't have all day, ya' know?" Jia called to her brother.

"Just a second!" Jason shouted back.

"That's the tenth time he said that." Cole sighed before mumbling under his breath. "I swear he's just like his father."

They were currently back at the junk yard. They had all agreed to go back to their houses to get what they need like clothes and such.

And just to be safe, the two adults went with those who lived far from the city, those being Jia, Jason, Frost, Crystal and Leyla. Cole went with Jia and Jason, Rachel went with Crystal back to the Birchwood while Frost went with Leyla.

Jia tapped her foot impatiently as she shifted the maroon duffel bag from one hand to another. Cole noticed her impatience and raised an eyebrow.

"There's no rush, Jia." He said to the raven haired girl. "Just let your brother take his time. He's probably looking for his tools or something."

"He doesn't even have tools! He always borrow mine." The water descendant grumbled, crossing her arms in annoyance.

Cole raised an eyebrow. Jia noticed and let her arms fall to her sides with a sigh.

"Sorry. I'm always this impatient. Mom says I got it from my Uncle.."

"Not just your Uncle," Cole whispered to himself with a smirk.

"... But I just want to get to the monastery and start working on Zane." Jia continued, her eyes glinting with excitement and impatience. "If we're ever gonna find Mom, Dad and the other ninjas, we'll need all the help we can get."

Cole placed a hand on her shoulder reassuringly. Jia looked up at him and he smiled. "Trust me, we will find your parents and the others. But it'll take time." He said. "Heroes aren't good at saving the world overnight. It'll take time, patience, and a whole lot more to be able to be a hero. Trust me. I know."

Jia smiled at him and turned her head to see Jason running out of the house and towards the two. He was carrying a dark blue duffel bag on one hand, a black box-like bag on the other and a winged contraption on a backpack on his back with a few other small gadgets.

"Jason, what's all that?" Jia asked incredulously. "Are all those inventions necessary?"

"Of course!" Jason said cheerfully. "You never know when we might need some gadgets to help us find our parents."

Jia rolled her eyes while Cole just smiled before motioning for them to follow.

"Come on, you two lovebirds." Cole said. The two young teens stared.

"We're siblings." Jia said, half disgusted, as she ran up to the master of earth.

Cole chuckled nervously. "Heh. Sorry. Old habits die hard." He said. "You two look a lot like your parents. Except, Jia has long hair and Jason has a scar across his eye. By the way, what happened with that? That looks like a nasty scar."

Jason's cheerful expression instantly turned sad, his eyes losing their cheerful glint and was replaced by sadness and fear instead.

"I-It's.... n-nothing. Nothing at a-all." Jason stuttered as Jia placed a hand on his arm.

Cole noticed the teen's instant change in mood and instantly regretted asking. "Oh. Sorry." He said. "We better see if Rachel and Crystal are okay at the Birchwood Forest."

With that, he summoned his dragon and climbed on, the two teens following. Cole looked back at the two sad teens and sighed.

Great job, Cole. He thought. You just had to ask. Now you probably ruined the kid's mood.
