Frost panted as he dodged another attack from a Treehorn. He threw an explosive shuriken at the beast, it beeped loudly before exploding. The Treehorn roared loudly as it fell to the snowy ground.
Frost scanned his surroundings. When he saw that there were still many Treehorns left, he sighed. Fighting these creatures were the last thing he wanted to do right now.
Ever since the descendants and the two ninjas arrived at the Birchwood Forest, they've been attacked by corrupted Treehorns, the same ones that attacked Frost, Leyla and Crystal before. That was almost an hour ago, and they were all growing weary.
"Frost! Stop standing there and help!" Kyle shouted from across the battle field as he twisted around a Treehorn's large foot.
Frost rolled his eyes and ran to the nearest person who was struggling to fight, which was Leyla. The descendant of energy kept blocking the Treehorn's attacks, and seem to be having trouble.
"Need help?" Frost asked just as he slashed the creature's leg with his large shurikens. The Treehorn roared and attemted to crush the robot, but Leyla jumped from under it and slashed her sword at its belly.
Once the creature was down, Frost turned to Leyla, who had her head down and was glaring at the Treehorn. Frost raised an eyebrow.
"Are you okay, Leyla?" The android asked curiously. "You seem to be having trouble fighting."
Leyla averted her eyes from the Treehorn and looked at Frost, her head still down. "I-It's nothing." She mumbled.
Frost was about to say something when a Treehorn stomped its large foot between the two, making them jump back.
"Why you-!" Leyla growled before continuosly slashing at the creature in an incredible speed. She then summoned an energy ball before shooting at the creature, making the Treehorn fall.
Frost stared at Leyla in shock. He had never seen Leyla so angry. In fact, he had never seen Leyla angry.
"A-are you okay?" Frost asked, slowly taking a step towards the girl.
Leyla turned and glared at him. "I'm fine." The descendant of energy growled. "Now will you please stop asking?!"
Before Frost could answer, Cole and Rachel walked up to them with tired looking descendants behind them.
"Well, that's all of 'em." The master of earth said, not tired at all. "We should hurry up. Frost, Crystal, can you lead the way?"
"Of course." Crystal nodded.
Frost only looked at Leyla with concern. He could feel that his friend was hiding something. But what?

"What in Ninjago?!" Frost gasped once they reached the hidden workshop.
Scratches and burn marks were on the trunk of the tree and the door was wide open and slightly broken.
Frost and Crystal quickly ran inside to find that the wooden stairs were broken. Raven used her powers to recreate the stairs with rocks.
Once they reached the bottom, they gasped in shock. The small workshop was trashed. Pieces of the wooden furniture and papers littered the floor.
"Mom? Dad?" Frost called. No answer.
Crystal looked up at a camera on the wall and her eyes glowed brighter as she watched the camera footage. A few moments later, she gasped.
"Oh no." She muttered before running to her parents' room. "Dad!"
The others followed. Once Crystal opened the door, she saw that the room was trashed also and a silver figure lay on the ground.
