I know it's been awhile and I'm so very sorry! But I hope you enjoy :)

They were walking in a way totally unsuspicious, far apart and normal.
However I didn't buy it.
Because there was one thing telling me that their togetherness was anything but normal.
Dane was smiling.
Billy was beside him, talking non stop in his normal, chattering way. But instead of the reaction expected, the grouchy, menacing glare, Dane had an amused grin plastered across his face.
In the long years I had known Dane I had only seen him smile a handful of times. And those smiles were sadistic, cruel...
Cold.
Those smiles were far from the small endeared grin he was aiming at my friend.
"Woah, Dane is smiling!" Collin exclaimed loudly, making me clamp my hand over his mouth to make him stop talking. Luckily Billy and Dane didn't notice, too focused on each other to hear anything around them. Slowly I removed my hand, sending Collin a warning glance in the process.
"Shhhh." I whispered, making him grin sheepishly. I repressed an aw at his adorable face, focusing on the task at hand.
Though his face was truly adorable.
"I'm sorry." He started, his eyes wide in shock. "It's just... I have never seen Dane look so pleasant before!" He whispered, making me nod in agreement.
"I know." I stated, perking over at their retreating backs. I then glanced back at Collin, a serious expression on my face. "I think it's time we do some investigating."

After an in depth conversation in which we tried to decide how to proceed with our plan, we figured out one key fact.
Our best bet was to find out through Billy.
Collin was going to try and talk to Dane, but our true hope was Billy. I believed I could get him to tell.
So I was currently searching the hallways for him, having difficulty finding his small blonde head among the crowds. Finally I found him, sitting quietly in the library read a book with Janelle.
"Billy!" I yelled across the library, effectively gaining glares and stares from all of its occupants. But I ignored it, rushing right towards where my friends sat. Billy looked slightly afraid, assuming he was in trouble.
He assumed correctly.
"Oh hi Charlie, nice to see you too." Janelle teased, making me feel bad instantly.
"Sorry Jay." I said sheepishly, motioning to Billy. "I just have something important to talk about with him." Smiling she shut her book closed, standing and collecting her stuff.
"Don't worry about it, I have to go meet Ray in the cafeteria anyway." She said dreamily, shoving her purse onto her shoulder. "Be nice Charlie, oh and Billy..." She then turned to Billy, grinning bemusedly at his scared expression. "Good luck." Before Billy could protest she turned and flounced out of the library, texting rapidly as she walked. With a michievious smile I turned to face Billy, visibly seeing his gulp.
"I just remembered I have to meet Mrs. Bartlette, she wanted to discuss my english paper and-"
"Tsk, tsk, tsk." I scolded, blocking him from exiting. I pushed him gently back into his seat, using his thick black hoodie to lead him there.
He was still wearing Danes hoodie.
That fact scared me, but helped me to come up with a plan. I turned my head towards Billys, a sweet expression splayed across my face. I let out an over dramatic shiver before gently plucking the sweater between my fingers.
