Charlies POV
School on Monday sucked. All day I was ducking behind corners and stairwells to avoid Collin, he was everywhere. It seemed as if he was looking for someone. He was always glancing from side to side whenever I saw him as opposed to his usually straight, not distracted walk. But i disregarded this fact and kept hiding, becoming late for all my classes because of the long alternate routes I took to avoid running into him.
At lunch I sat with Janelle and Billy, talking to them about the party. Janelle seemed to be the most excited of us all. It turned out when she wanted to leave the party Ray left with her and walked her home like a gentleman. She said they held hands the whole time and that when they got to her house she tried to kiss him, ignoring the fact they just met. But he stopped her and told her that he wanted to treat her properly before anything happened so he didn't feel like he was taking advantage of her.
They went for coffee the next morning and they had been apparently inseperable ever since. She smiled dreamily at the end of her story, making me grin back at her. I was happy she was happy. I was also thankful. She was so wrapped up in Ray that she hadn't remembered to pester me about what happened with me and Collin. And it had honestly saved me a lot of inevitable trouble.
"Oh Ray-Ray!" She squealed as the lanky boy carried his tray to our table, a blush forming on his face. She gave him a big kiss on the cheek, making him blush even more. She then turned to Billy and I and beamed her hand interlocked with Rays. "Ray, these are my best friends Billy and Charlie, guys this is Ray." Ray stuck out his hand awkwardly and smiled, greeting us in a soft voice.
"Nice to meet you." He then averted his eyes, obviously shy at meeting new people.
"Aww aren't you cute!" I squealed (but still in a manly fashion) I reached over and tried to pinch his cheeks, but was slapped on the hand by Janelle.
"Hey pinch the cheeks of your own boyfriend!" She grinned teasingly, making me laugh before looking worriedly at Ray for his reaction at my sexuality. To my relief he still had the same friendly yet quiet look on his face. He shrugged, unaffected, before looking at Janelle lovingly.
"Love is love," He stated openly, nodding his head slightly. Janelle beamed at him with pride and hugged him and I smiled widely. He was good for her. I then turned towards Billy. Janelle and Ray were in deep conversation now and I wanted to give them privacy. A small inkling of concern arose in my head as I looked at Billy and saw his dark expression. He hair was uncombed on his head, messy and unkempt. He had slight circles under his eyes and they were darker than usual. He was also wearing a huge black hoodie, that looked odd on his tiny frame. The sweater looked familiar but I couldn't pinpoint why. So I ignored it and instead focused on Billy. He jumped when I put my hand on his shoulder, interrupting his thoughts.
"Hey, you alright?" He put on an obviously fake smile and nodded.
"Yeah sure why wouldn't I be?" He responded meekly, while staring at the floor. I lifted his chin and made him look at me.
"You haven't said much today and your hair is uncombed, your hair is always perfect." I stated, motioning to his head. He raised his hand and pat down his hair, fixing it into the perfection is usually is.
"There, all fixed." He said pointedly, finality in his voice. I sighed, staring at him accusingly for a few moments before relenting and moving my gaze.
"Well if you ever want to tell me I'm here to listen." I told him honestly, while smiling gently at him. He smiled back and then turned back into a zombie, staring at the floor like it was interesting. With him unresponive and Janelle practically sucking Rays face off, I got bored. My eyes wandered around the cafeteria, observing the action around me. I jumped in fear when my eyes reached the stormy navy gaze, its hate directed right at me.
However something about it felt off, it seemed as if Dane was actually glaring at my hand? I hadn't really noticed but when I was trying to get Billy to confide in me I had grabbed his hand, and currently still hadn't let go of it. Billy hadn't noticed much either, so when I quickly yanked my hand away he jumped, startled from the sudden movement.
I turned back to Dane, staring at the warning eminating from his eyes. He quickly glared over at Billy before staring back at me and shaking his head and spitting to make a point. And I caught it loud and clear. Billy had a strange look on his face when I turned back to him, a look I couldn't decipher.
"Don't worry, I won't let him hurt you." I started, trying to be comforting. "I've just never met someone who hated seeing two gay people holding hands so much." After seeing the sad look on Billys face at that moment, I really wished I didn't get it for once.
-----
The second weird Dane moment of the day happened after lunch, when Billy and I were getting our books from our lockers. I was looking cautiously around the hall while grabbing my books, terrified to go through any attack. When I heard his big heavy feet I almost screamed, the fear eating at my thoughts. Billy hadn't noticed which I was glad for. He was listening to his ipod, Lady Gaga blasting full volune from his earphones. When Danes gaze met my eyes his face grew malicious as he stalked forward, his fist ready to crack down on my jaw. But as he moved around people he got a clear view of Billy leaning against the wall, innocently bobbing his head to the music. I then watched, stunned, as his eyes got slightly less harsh and he lowered his fist and turned in the other direction, leaving me in peace. And I almost died from shock, questions circling rapidly in my head. Did Dane like Billy? I quickly dismissed that idea though, Dane was a homophobic jerk, he couldn't be gay. But the same question kept circling my head, making me doubt my sureness. Why did Dane leave me alone?
-------
Gym class was my most torturing class of the day. Not only was I totally athletically uninclined it was also the only class I had with Collin. So I couldn't avoid him any longer. Thankfully we were playing dodgeball and we ended up on opposite teams. But the whole time, though we had no direct encounters, he was staring at me. It was almost a contemplative stare, as if he was trying to figure something out. After class was over I hurried to the showers, still trying to avoid him. I stayed under the long water for a long time, letting the hot water ease my tense muscles, before a voice brought me out of my stupor.
Collin was leaning against the tiled wall, fulled clothed in jeans and a gray v-neck and looking like a greek god. He was staring at my naked body the same way he had in the gym, except this time there was an added element. His unmistakable lust. His eyes lingered over my package a little too long before I finally covered it with my hands, a dark heat running through my body. A heat that wasn't coming from the hot water. He took at step forward, making me look around desperately for someone that I could yell to. But I had been there for too long and everyone was gone. Except the two of us. He took another step forward and smirked teasingly making me start to get turned on.
"Now Charles," he drawled lazily, his voice hypnotizing. "You ignoring me today was very rude. Don't you think?" He took another step forward. "I even looked for you all day." He stopped for a moment and glanced up and down my body once more.
"Now I've been thinking. All this time I've been struggling with wanting you." A shiver of lust ran through my body at his words. "And finally I broke. I can't resist you anymore and honestly..." He ran his fingers through his hair and smiled ryely. "I want you so bad going to hell would be worth it. So I made a decision. I'm going to have you." He walked the rest of the way over to me and pressed me against the wall, roughly pressing against my naked body under the spray. He lowered his mouth to my ear and blew his breath into it, making me shake with desire.
"I can't fight who I am anymore," he paused and looked down, a cocky smirk growing on his handsome face. "And obviously you are ok with it." I looked down, puzzled and blushed at what I saw. Both of our packages were hardened and bulging with lust. He laughed at my reaction and pulled my face impossibly close. "You are so adorable." He murmured, he then moved his lips closer to mine, preparing to kiss me.
