#14: Don't Judge A Species

"Judy, he's moving quickly, cut him off!" Nick yelled into the walky talky.

She waited a couple seconds before jumping out, right in front of the criminal. He slammed into her, knocking her off her feet. Luckily he grabbed Judy swiftly, pulling her against him.

"Judy?" Her walky talky sounded," Are you ok?"

The criminal winked before twirling her around and running off. Judy crashed into a brick wall with an 'oof' trying to lean against it for balance.

"Judy!" Nick called, catching up to her.

He rubbed her shoulders as she was trying to concentrate on what was going on.

"I-I'm fine, just got distracted, where did he go?" she asked, looking around.

Nick scratched his ears,"Uh that way, be careful ok?"

"I got this," she said before speeding off.

He sighed and mumbled to himself,"Of course she does."

Running after her, the two cornered the crook in another alley. Judy didn't keep her eyes on the guy, instead they wondered around. Nick came up to him faster and put his hand on his gun.

"Now buddy, we can do this the easy way or the hard way," He said slowly.

He leaned against the wall," Wow what a weird pair, a fox and a rabbit. Does this guy ever give you trouble sweet heart?"

Judy blinked but shook her head.

"Ok now you crossed the line, hands behind your head," Nick snapped, getting closer.

"Hey now, don't get your boxers in a twist buddy, I was just asking. Alright let's just get this over with, where's the car?" He asked, looking around.

Nick quirked an eyebrow,"Huh?"

"Pay attention fox, I said I throw in the towel," The crook spat.

Nick lifted his gun and went behind, pushing the cold tip to the back of his head.

"Ok now move! Come on Judy," he scowled.

The three walked back to the police car, Judy opened the door for him and they all got in.

"You have the right to remain silent," Judy said, clearing her throat.

He leaned against her seat, his hands now handcuffed behind his back.

"What's your name doll?" He asked coolly.

Judy barely glanced back, taking in what she saw. He didn't look like a crook, he was a rabbit, and was well groomed too. He wore black everything, it matched his black fur too, the only thing that stood out was his green eyes, reminded her of Nick's. Only this guy's eyes were a mucky and dark green.

"...Judy," she said in a stern voice.

"Hmm Judy, I'm Chip, sorry we had to meet in such a predicament," he grinned slightly, but in an unsettling way.
