When Gray heard that Brightflash would help, he was overcome with joy. He began to hope, and he thought that maybe, just maybe, they would actually pull this off. The group prepared to ask Brightflash their questions, though they suspected he already knew what they were going to ask. Lucy went first.
"Brightflash," she began, "where is Kozalexaiya?"
"Where the four seasons meet, and the four elements all unite as one," he replied with a smirk.
"Well, we already know that," Lucy huffed, annoyed, "but where exactly is that located?"
Brightflash laughed. "Well, in the demon realm, there is one day each year during which it is neither Winter, Spring, Summer, nor Fall. It is nothing. The day is black and uneventful, and on that day, the four seasons come together to celebrate the one day of the year when they are not drifting and chasing after each other. They meet at the same place every time. Coincidentally, that place is the home of the Essence Stone. The Essence Stone is a magical stone that contains the essence of the four main elements. All forms of magic sprung from the original four: Water, Fire, Earth, and Air. The Essence Stone is all of them united as one. It is what keeps the demon world in its place. Without it, the demons would be free to return to Earth. The day without season is in two days. We must hurry. I will lead you to the meeting place. You may ask me the remainder of your questions on the way."
The wizards followed him without another word. They were so close...but nothing came without a price. Gray knew that the demon wouldn't go down without a fight. He knew that they needed to prepare. He also remembered the words of the crystal. He made sure to heed its advice, and continued to hope for the best.
"Whatever happens, do not lose hope, for that will be your downfall."
