Angela's POV
Two months ago Josh proposed to me. I still couldn't believe it. I was so excited! Seth and Tom were happy as well, they were glad to have Josh as a brother-in-law. My parents took it pretty well also. My dad was being a normal dad about having his "baby" go off and get married. He liked Josh a lot though, so he was completely ok with it.
Josh and I had already chosen a date. It was going to be next month on July 17th. We were busy picking out decorations, colors, clothing, and the location. We decided to go to Mobile, Alabama. They had a nice little church that would be perfect for us. We weren't going to have a big crowd, just our families and a few friends.
I suggested to Josh that we had Jason play guitar at our wedding. He thought it was a fantastic idea and told me to go talk to him about it soon. Josh still didn't know about the encounter I had with Jason in his fort. I hoped that Josh would never find out about it.
Less than a month before my wedding I talked to Jason.
"Hey buddy, what's up?" I asked him.
"Buddy?" He laughed, "I'm just working on this truck here. Why?"
"Oh nice, what's the problem with it?"
"Eh, just some engine problems. I'm almost done with it. I'm hoping to go into town and pick up some little ladies." He teased me, carefully watching my expressions.
"Sounds like you'll have fun."
His smile dropped a little. I knew he expected me to be disappointed, but I kept my mind on track.
"Josh and I were wondering if you'd like to play guitar at our wedding next month."
He looked at me surprised, "You're actually getting married?"
I hadn't told him to his face yet, but I knew Seth told him about it.
"Yeah, we are. July 17th." I smiled at him.
"Cool. Well, um, yeah I will, if I'm not busy. But I don't think I am."
"Ok! Thanks so much." I smiled and started to walk off but he called me back.
"Hey, wait! Would you like to stay and have some lemonade with me? We could talk about what you want me to play."
"Um," I looked at my phone to check the time, "Sure. I reckon I have time."
He took my hand and led me over into his garage. I was somewhat surprised he grabbed my hand, but he stayed his distance so it was fine with me. He motioned for me to go sit on a bench by a window while he grabbed the lemonade from a tiny fridge.
He carefully poured it into two little cups. He handed me mine and then sat down next to me.
"So, what would you like me to play?"
"Um, I'm not sure. Any romantic song you can think of." I laughed.
"Hm, I'm positive I know some of those." He smiled at me, looking into my eyes.
"That's good!" I backed away slightly, feeling a little uncomfortable.
"Do you have any requests?"
He didn't seem to notice me back away, which I was very glad about. Last time I backed away from a boy he ended up kissing me.
"No, not yet at least. I haven't thought about it too much."
"Oh, ok. Just let me know when you do."
"I will." I smiled at him, and he smiled back.
Jason's POV
Angela came over and started talking to me about playing at her wedding. I couldn't believe it. She wanted me to play at her wedding! I didn't focus on it too much though, I was glad to do it. I already had a few ideas of what to play.
