Also this story is focused on your realtionship with Lucy, minor Reader X Natsu if you squint.

You had recently noticed Lucy was acting strange. She was ignoring people, staying at home, and just generally not being her bubbly personality everyone was used to. "Hey guys, i'm gonna head home okay?" You were snapped out of your thoughts by Lucy getting up and leaving the table. "Hey, (Y/N) maybe you should talk to Lucy? You would understand right, you're both girls!" Natsu, your boyfriend asked. "First, I'm going to ignore your sexist remark because I love you. Second, I was already planning on it," You say standing up and hitting Natsu over the back of the head. You stride off out of the guild hall heading towards Lucy's flat. You reach her flat, twist the knob and go in. "Lucy? Where are you call going into her living room. Seeing it empty you go into her room to find a horrifying sight. Lucy stood on a chair a noose around her neck. "Lucy!" You scream, throwing yourself towards her. She turns around eye's wide. Before she can say anything, you have the noose of her neck. "Why?" You cry. You look at her tears pricking the corners of your eye's and she collapses into tears. You both sit their for a few hours, you holding tight to Lucy like she's going to disappear. After her tears have dried, she works up the nerve to speak. "(Y/N) I'm so sorry." She's says starting to sniffle again. "Lucy, it's alright! Don't cry! Just please come to me next time. I don't want anything to happen to you. Your my best friend. Now, can you tell me what happened?" You say looking at her. "It happened on the last mission we went on. Well you and the team were fighting your enemies I was fighting a losing battle. And on top of it they kept taunting me how I'll never be as strong as you guys. When you had to save me I saw what he meant. When we came back I started to think about how weak I was compared to everyone in the guild. I just thought less and less of myself until I couldn't take it!" She cries and starts to cry again. "Lucy Heartfilia, you are one of the strongest wizards I've ever had the fortune to meet. You're as close as a sister to me. Just because you don't match in physical strength doesn't mean you don't match in heart! You are a true Fairy Tail wizard through and through!" You say leaping over and wrapping her in a tight hug. "Tell you what, I want you to come to the guild in 20 minutes okay? Now, if I leave pinkie promise me you won't do anything!" You say holding up a pinkie. "I promise" Lucy says locking her pinkie with yours. You get up, wave and hurry out the door. You almost literally fly down the streets in your haste to get to the guild. You slam open the doors and everyone turns to look at you. "We are planning a party! Now I need a get well soon banner, Now!!" You yell throwing the guild into chaos.

When Lucy arrived at the guild exactly 20 minutes she wasn't really sure what to expect. You were known for being a somewhat crazy person. She creaked open the guild doors and peeked in. When she saw nothing but darkness she opened the door a little wider and was greeted by all of her guild mates screaming "We love you Lucy!" She was so touched she almost cried right there. Natsu ran up to Lucy and pulled her into a huge hug. "Promise me you won't ever do that again," Natsu said frowning at Lucy. "I promise." She said and was suddenly yanked by Natsu. "Good!" He said giving her a toothy grin and leading to a chair right in front of the stages. She was about ask what he was doing, when all the lights went off and spotlights sat on her and the stage. You slowly walked out on stage a microphone in hand. "Lucy you are most best friend, and I don't want to you to ever think you are as not important as the rest of us, so I've decided to dedicate this song to you," you say just as the music starts up.

"Lucy Heartfilia you are worth more than hundreds of pounds of gold to me. Don't forget that." You say squeezing her. "I won't" she says squeezing you back even tighter.
