You sit in a small diner waiting for a blind date that you were 99% sure wasn't going to show up. Pulling out your phone you sigh and accept the fact you were stood up once again. What is this? The 5th time? Who's counting anyway? Oh yeah, your bratty sister just so she can rub it in your face that she's married and you aren't. You pocket your phone flag over a waitress.

"Excuse me could I have (F/N)? Thank you," you say handing your menu to the waiter. She walks away and you pull out your phone and scroll through. You hear a bang and look up and are startled to see an attractive man with pink hair sit down in the booth across from you.

"You looked lonely," he said before you could open your mouth to ask what the hell he was doing.

"Well since I looked 'lonely', what makes you think your company is going to make me feel any better?" You say smirking.

"Well considering everyone needs a friend, I've decided to be yours," He says.

"Okay, we can be friends, on one condition. You tell me your name," you say.

"Alright fair enough, my name's Natsu," he says holding out his hand.

"Hello Natsu! My name's (Y/N)," you say shaking his hand. You knew this was the start of a beautiful friendship.

You smile and spin around the kitchen with Natsu to your Elvis record. Your grandma had loved Elvis and had given you all her records when she passed away. In tribute to her you had listened to all her records and honestly really enjoyed listening to him now. You were snapped out of your thoughts when Natsu accidentally knocked you up against the counter.

"Ouch Natsu! Careful!," you said but couldn't help grinning.

"I'm sorry! But you love me anyway," He said grinning at you.

"Yeah I do," you said hugging him.

"I love you," you said leaning your head against his chest as your first dance song finished.

"I love you too," he said. Just then you felt a tap on your shoulder. He turned around to see your best friend Natsu.

"Do you mind if I steal a dance?"He asked holding out his hand.

"Of course!" You said smiling. "Anything for my best friend!"
