The Tears • Book Three

Author's Note (LAST ONE)

Hi kittens! I can't believe that I finally finished writing this trilogy, wow it's been a crazy journey. To finish it off with a bang, I'll explain a bit into the story and how I thought of it, and add in some random facts. For example, this author's note was the first part of this book I wrote, and I have edited and added to it as I wrote The Tears.

When I write, I'm quite spontaneous. Most of the time, I have an event that I definitely want to happen, but how I get there can change and be altered in my mind until I think of something, then when I start writing, it'll sometimes change again.

To be honest, when I first thought of this story idea, I searched A LOT for the perfect real name for Wolf, because I had a great idea where he'd end up with Ivy and she'd end up being the Dark Earth Queen and Wolf's secret was that his family is part of a long generation of Dark Warriors, and his name means Dark Warrior. But then, for some reason, my brain veered the story towards Nia becoming the Dark Earth Queen instead, and I'm glad it did. I don't think the story would have been the same if Ivy was the Queen instead.

I had this big idea where they'd kill the evil Dark Earth Queen (originally not planned to be their aunt at all) and her minions would poison Ivy and her actual father, the King of Gato Reino, would have been poisoned by the same thing earlier in the story and died from it, since there was no known cure. But, Ivy would have survived, and become the next Dark Earth Queen. That was my original idea, and wow I went VERY far from it.

But, I had already written out book 1 and 2 of this series before I even knew Wattpad existed, and that's because of my internet friends. We all spoke on Instagram and had this group chat where we used to tell stories and this was one of the stories that I told. Most of the characters in the series are named after my friends, either real life or Internet.

Star, Amy, Ivy, Angel and Wolf (Cerin isn't his real name btw) are all internet friends of mine, and Inferno was an old internet friend of Wolf's that I added to the story for him. Molly, Wiktor, Henry, Hannah, Alicia, Sophia and Lauren are all some of my real life friends (the characters aren't how they are in real life, it's just how I wanted that character to be and I just chose their name). Then there's Nia, the main character. She is actually based on me, if it's not obvious by my profile.

Also, originally, I had an idea for this book, where Saber and Molly would fall in love and Saber had to choose between Molly and Nia once he got his memories back. I also had an idea that Molly might die at the end, but obviously I didn't do that.

If you have any questions you want to ask me about the series, go ahead! I'd love to answer them and clear up any possible confusion or satisfy your curiosity. I'm a very curious person myself, so I know how that is.

Also, I have a huge fear of spiders, I absolutely hate them! One day, I got an idea for a story that has to do with spiders, and I thought that it'd be a good idea since I think it might help with my fear a bit. Anyway, originally I didn't even think of linking it to this series in any way, but it has to do with different realms as well and the human realm, and then I got a great idea.

The main character of the book is Molly's adopted daughter, and I have other ideas where I'll link other characters, like Nia, Saber, Ivy and Cerin into it (it'll probably not only be these characters, I'm not too sure yet). So, since I decided to link this book to this series, I'm going to start publishing it next. I'm not sure on how often yet, might be once or twice a week.

It's going to be a trilogy amongst many that make up the Realm Jumpers series, and this trilogy is called Realm Jumpers: The Spider Realm. The first book is called The Taken, look out for it!
