Ivy's POV
I stand in the courtyard, staring at Molly's statue as the rain heavily falls. Drenched flowers lie at the base of it to commemorate her courage in the battle that led to her becoming like this. Forever encased in stone. I wonder if Nia will ever collect Molly from here, or if she has left Molly here as a constant reminder of what I lost on that day.
So many lives were lost, including the lives of many of my subjects. And my friend. Why did Sophia have to die?
I can hear Molly's slow heartbeat coming from the statue, so I at least know she is still alive. However, I don't know how long she can stay in there for. Is it forever? Is it a year? Is it a month? I just don't know, and I want to.
I need to know how Cerin is doing. I can't imagine what he is going through under the hands of my sister, who is rapidly becoming the Destroyer as she descends into madness and turns to cruel, evil ways. It seems like she can't be saved, which means that she needs to be put down. It hurts my heart to think it, but I know it's true. She's too dangerous.
My sister needs to be terminated.
"Ivy?" Star's soft voice interrupts my thinking. My head flies to the side to look at her, lifting one eyebrow in confusion.
"Star, are you okay?" I ask, stepping towards her. She steps back, gulping as tears start streaking down her cheeks, mixing with the rain.
"Fine, but I can't stay here any longer. I can't continue putting your kingdom in danger. So many things happened that day because of me, and don't try to convince me it wasn't my fault. I know it was, since Antonia came here hunting me. Yes, she was hunting others, but she was also hunting me. This is why I need to leave. She will still be trying to find me, and I can't put more lives in danger because of it. I came to say goodbye."
"Star, no. You don't have to leave." I start to try to convince her to stay, but she interrupts me before I can continue.
"Yes I do Ivy. Trust me, it's for the better. Please, let me go," Star walks forward and hugs me, murmuring in my ear, "Goodbye Ivy. Good luck getting Wolf back, I know you will." Star then steps back, looking up at the grey sky as wings start to appear from her back.
I stare at her wings in wonder, admiring the deep midnight blue, dark purple and black ethereal feathers that are dotted with silver. With a powerful thump of her wings, she launches herself into the sky, flying away and soon out of sight as the rain continues to pour down, soaking everything without a care in the world.
Nia's POV
"Saber!" I scream, rushing forward and catching him before he hits the ground. I cradle him close in my arms, growling at the sight of all of the wounds littered across his body. I gaze down at him, studying the severity of his wounds and deciding that he should see a doctor. Preferably a male one. My head flies up to look around the room, and when I catch Cerin and Balto's eyes, I glare menacingly at the both of them, before I powerfully command, "Don't follow me."
I teleport to the hospital wing with no hesitation, where a nurse immediately notices the limp, bloody form of Saber in my arms. His eyes widen, and he immediately rushes off to get a doctor. I fight the urge to pace as I wait for the nurse to arrive with the doctor. Soon after, the nurse comes back with a female doctor in tow, and I immediately start growling loudly to show my displeasure at this other female that will look at my connection mate's exposed chest.
