Ivy's POV
Halfway back to the castle, I stop running. My personal guard stops as well, looking at me questioningly.
"Is everything alright Queen Ivy?" One of my guards asks. I nod, then order,
"Go back to the castle without me. I will be there shortly, there's just something I have to do." My guards all reluctantly agree, then run off, getting farther and farther away. I turn around and sprint in the direction we came from, going to the Realm Edge.
Once I arrive, I stare, bewildered at the new realm barrier that appeared here today. Somehow, Nia actually did it. She divided this realm in half, making her own realm. Even though the evidence is right in front of me, I find it difficult to wrap my head around. It's unbelievable, yet I saw it happen. The realm barrier that materialized in front of me is proof.
Suddenly, an idea flies into my head. Does Nia splitting the realm in half and making a new realm for her Kingdom mean she actually did end up becoming the Destroyer? In theory, she destroyed the realm, just not in the way everyone was expecting.
I reach out towards the realm barrier with the desire to touch it, to ensure that this is all real and it's not all a crazy dream I'll wake up from. My hand slowly moves closer and closer to the shimmering wall that represents the edge of this realm when a huge shock goes through me, launching me powerfully away from the Realm Edge. I land on my back, which knocks the wind out of me. I gasp at the impact and the pain shooting trough my back.
When I try to get up, a bolt of pain races through my back, making me immobile. I groan in frustration as I glare up at the blue sky, condemning it for its cheerfulness. Suddenly, a face blocks the sky out of my vision as they look down at me with confusion clear in their eyes.
"Ivy, are you alright?" Star asks, tilting her head and looking down at me. I breathlessly reply,
"Not really." I groan as I try to get up, again with no success. Star's eyes widen as she sees me struggle to get up, and she immediately helps me into a sitting position. She questions,
"What happened Ivy?"
"Nia happened." I state, slightly bending my back and grimacing at the pain.
"What?!" Star exclaims, her eyes wide in shock, "She attacked you again?"
"No. She just created her own realm, something I didn't think was possible, and to make sure this all wasn't a dream, I reached out to the Realm Edge and got knocked backwards. I landed hard on my back." If possible, Star's eyes widen even more as she stares dumbfounded at me, then looks at the realm barrier, then looks back at me.
"Excuse me, but did you just say that Nia created her own realm?" Star says in bewilderment.
"Well basically, yeah. She split the original realm literally in half, taking her half and making her own realm out of it while leaving this half to be my realm." I try to explain, still in shock myself.
"Seriously?" Star stares at me, looking for any sign that I'm joking. When she doesn't find one, her mood falls, "You're not joking... are you?" I shake my head in response. Star sighs, plopping down on the grass to sit next to me. We sit in silence for awhile, watching the Realm Edge swirl with whatever magic it's made of. Star breaks the silence, "I feared something this would happen."
"What do you mean?" I ask. She sighs before telling me,
"Well, before I decided to become a Dark Warrior with Lightning, Jake had a vision. He said in his vision, there was a great rift between you and Nia, placed there by Nia herself. He told me it was impossible to get across or to mend unless Nia permitted it. He also said the future is very dark and filled with bloodshed, but there will eventually be light. I'm guessing the rift mentioned is literal in this case, even though it started off as being figurative."
