I woke up in Niall's arms. However, I felt something a bit odd about the room. I still had a feeling that we were being watched. That's when I noticed a red light blinking in the top right corner of the room.
I shook Niall slightly. "Niall, we are being watched!" I whisper shouted to him. He instantly woke up and searched the room. I pointed to the camera and he grabbed one of my shoes and bashed the camera like a bug on the wall.
He looked back at me and sheepishly grinned as I stared at him holding a hand up to my mouth. That's it, I couldn't hold it anymore. I burst into a fit of giggles. Niall joined in and got serious.
"Lauren, I know we still have a long journey. But I just want you to know... How much I want a sandwich right now!" He said laughing at the end and making me blush thinking he was going to say something else.
I didn't bother getting dressed. Niall and I walked down to see if there was a vending machine nearby with food. Alas, we found one with chips, cookies, and candy. It'll have to do for now.
I slipped in a five dollar bill grabbing two bags of chips, four granola bars and two packets of skittles. I handed Niall his belongings. I'm glad Niall didn't try to budge into paying for a vending machine.
We were walking back upstairs when we heard rustling coming from our room. "Where do those kids keep that darn stash?" We heard a voice grunt.
We opened the door to find the employee of the motel looking through our belongings. Niall cleared his throat. The employee hadn't noticed we were standing there and jumped.
He pulled out an object from his back. A spoon? Niall and I looked at each other wierdly then turned back to the employee. I read his name tag for the first time despite sleeping in this motel for two days already. Clark.
"Where's your money?" He questioned pointing the spoon at us in a threatening manner.
"What do you need it for?" Niall asked narrowing his eyes.
"As if I'd ever tell you. Now hand over the money or else." Clark demanded.
"Or what?" Niall smirked.
"Don't make me use this." Clark waved the spoon.
"Spoons are harmless you dimwit." Niall laughed.
"Not unless you know how to use'em right." Clark said now being the one to smirk evilly. I thought back to Mr.Parker with his eyes missing.
"Niall please don't do this." I begged. Niall sighed.
"How much do you want?" He said taking out his wallet. Clark eyed the wallet and snatched it out of his hands. We rushed out after him and I managed to grab Niall's wallet out of Clark's tight grasp.
Clark grabbed me by the neck and held me up against the balcony where he could easily drop me. This is where my self defense classes came into action. I was smart to not give him any idea I knew how to defend myself.
I looked over to Niall in plead. I have to pass as the victim. "Let her go." He demanded.
"Not yet, hand over the money." Clark chuckled maniacally.
"Let her go first." Niall said sternly.
"Quick question." I asked Clark. He nodded.
"Do you like kids?" I asked.
He looked at me weirdly and slowly nodded. "Want to have them?" I said and took my opportunity and kicked him where it hurts sending him to drop down on his knees and groaning. He clutched his area in pain and we heard faint sirens from police cars getting closer.
