I can't believe it. I just met N, who was actually Niall. I am running away with him. I'm running away..never would I have thought I would be able to do this.
The words rung in my mind as I thought how my life was slowly changing by this in the moment decision. Would I regret doing this? I hope not.
I looked over at Niall who was focused on the road ahead of him. His concentrated face and slightly clenched jaw was enough to make me daydream about him. Sadly, I got caught and had to play it off.
"Take a picture it'll last longer, babe." He chuckled and threw a wink. I started blushing and looked out the window as the trees and streetlights passed by us.
I heard a similar tune start to play lowly through the car. "May I?" I asked Niall gesturing to turn the volume up. He nodded and bit his lip. I reached over and let the music envelope over my body sealing it away from the sadness and problems.
"Cause I can tell just what you want. You don't want to be alone. You don't want to be alone. And I can say it's what you know but, you've known it the whole time. Yeah, you've known it the whole time.." I softly sang pouring my emotions into the song.
"Wow, you have a beautiful voice." I heard Niall say as the song was finishing up. I felt my cheeks heat up.
"Thank you. I don't really like to sing in front of people." I said shrugging.
"So I'm an exception?" He looked at me with a hopeful glint in his eye along with a beautiful grin.
I bit my lip and decided to tease him. "Well, you see. I said people not a god." I said giggling and I winked at him.
He chuckled. "So, I'm a god? That's nice." He said looking back towards the road.
"Yup." I giggled throwing my head back. I can't believe I was actually telling him this.
"Those giggles are so cute. Did you know that?" He said glancing at me. I shook my head.
"What's the name of that song?" He asked me.
"Its called "What You Know" by Two Door Cinema Club. They are one of my favorite bands." I told him and tapped my fingers against arm rest of the door to the beat of a song playing faintly in the car.
"They sound very good. I'll have to check them out. Any suggestions?" He teased.
I rolled my eyes playfully. "Well, What You Know, Undercover Martyn, and Something Good Can Work are my absolute favorites." I recommended.
He nodded. "How are the boys?" I asked.
"They are pretty good, I guess." He said as a sigh escaped out of his mouth.
"Why do you guess?" I questioned.
"They don't like the way I've been acting for the past few months. They nag me constantly about it." He explained his grip on the steering wheel getting a bit tighter.
I placed my hand cautiously on his and felt him loosen his grip a bit. "They nag you because, they care about you. I wish I had someone to do that for me." I said softly.
He looked at me and his harsh glare on the road was replaced with softened eyes and relaxed look.
"You don't have friends at school?" He asked quietly. I shook my head.
"I can't exactly tell you my life story today, you know." I said and winked at him playfully nudging his arm on the console.
"Don't you just, ever get tired of it all?" He asked in a small voice.
