Ashton's POV

I had been searching for Emma for about five minutes, when I bumped into Louis. "Hey Lou do you have Emma's number?"

I asked turning towards him. "Well yeah, of course I do. Do you want it?" he said raising his eyebrows. "Uhm, yeah. Can you put it in my phone?" I questioned handing him my iPhone. "Sure one second." he said before he began typing, he handed me my phone, "Good luck mate." he said with a smirk and a wink before walking off.

I looked down at the phone in my hands. I unlocked it and opened my messages, I decided just to stop being scared and just text her.

To: Emma

Hey it's Ash, Lou gave me your number :D

I sent that and got a reply soon after.

From: Emma

Hi Ash(: What's up?

To: Emma

Walking around, the usual. Where are you?

From: Emma

I'm actually just on the roof

To: Emma

Really? How did you get up there?

From: Emma

Keep walking until you come to a hallway with shit lighting and climb the stairs.

I put my phone back in my pocket and set off to find the mysterious corridor. After a great deal of walking, I reached the hall. I figured I had the right place because if the lighting, it was very dim. I walked down the corridor, light fading as

I went farther down. When was the last time someone used this place? I wondered. I finally reached the stairs, I climbed, and climbed, and climbed, and eventually reached the door she was talking about. I took a deep breath and opened it.

I walked out onto the roof and searched for Emma. Where was she? I turned in another direction and spotted her, sitting, feet hanging off the edge of the building, a soft breeze grazing her perfect long auburn hair. I walked over to her, being careful not to startle her, and sat down next to her. "Hey" I said smiling. "Hi" she said looking down at her arms quickly before pulling her sleeves down. Huh?

"Its beautiful up here isn't it?" she asked looking around. "You can see everything, the city lights, the stadiums, the small stores" "Its just, amazing." she said smiling. "Yeah I like it here." I said giving everything a quick glance before turning to her again. "What's that building there?" I asked pointing to a talk building being lit up with all sorts of colors. "That? That's Greek Town Casino, it looks beautiful at night." she said looking in the direction of the structure.

"Well Emma, I'd like to get to know you. Can I ask you some questions?" I asked shyly. "Of course why not she said smiling. Okay.

"Favorite food"

"Spaghetti"

"Favorite color"

"Blue"

"Favorite song"

"Somewhere In Neverland"

"Favorite band"

"Don't you dare make me choose."

"Favorite sports team"

"The Tigers"

"Who are they?" I asked, a confused look spread across my face. She looked shocked. "You don't know who the Tigers are?!" she asked almost offended as it seemed. "They're a baseball team, they play here, actually they play right, - there," she pointed to a huge field a little ways away. "Comerica Park, one of my favorite places to go, games are fun as hell." she said smiling.

"Should we get going?" she asked, pulling me out of my thoughts. "You know, so Harry doesn't freak out, and because you have to perform?" she said standing up. Have we really been up here for that long? I looked out to the sky and saw that the sun has already set and the moon was out. "Yeah we better." I said standing up. She started jogging for the door, while she did her sleeve went up her arm, and I couldn't believe what I saw.

Cuts. At lease 20 of them, spread all over her wrist. I stopped dead in my tracks while she went through the door and started down the staircase. Emma cuts herself? Why would she do that? Is that why she keeps pulling her sleeves down? I walked, shocked, to the door and opened it, I saw that she was already gone and I started down the stairs.
