Chpater 4

"Shop til you drop"

I woke up Saturday morning with the same thing on my mind as before I went to sleep... Xander. I had made no progress. All I could think about was how gorgeous he was and how he seemed to find me less annoying then all the other girls around here. It wasn't much but I'll take it.

First thing I did was look out the window to find a beautiful dunny day outside. I pressed my hand to the window and felt the heat from the outside trying to get in. I automatically went to get in the shower because I was about to have a heat stroke. I decided to leave my shower luke warm before I got in and started washing my hair.

I decided to just towel dry my hair and leave it nice and damp because I knew it was to hot to blow dry anything. As soon as I went outside I was sure it would dry up in no time, but for now my cold, wet hair felt good on the back of my neck. I walked out of my bathroom naked to find something to wear. I thought briefly about going to the beach by myself for a little bit but decided against it. Too hot. I turned on the news and sure enought it was almost ninety degrees out there. If I had it my way I wouldn't be going anywhere tonight but of course, as Eve had put it, I had to make an appearance at Jake's party.

I checked my phone to find a couple text from Eve asking if we could go shopping. I knew she wouldn't take no for an answer so instead of texting her back, I threw on a white tank top, jean shorts, and white low top chucks. I went down to the kitchen to find my mother reading the paper. it was almost eleven so it seemed to me like she was getting a late start.

"Oh goodmorning sweetie, where are you off too?" she asked, looking up from todays news.

"Just going over to Eve's. She wants to go shopping," I grimaced at my own words. She must've noticed because she gave me a sympathetic look.

"Well try to have fun and don't burn up out there. A pile of ashes for a daughter wouldn't be much fun," she said before turning back to the paper.

I didn't bother with a reply, just grabbed an apple and I was out the door and in my car. Once I shut the door the temperature in my car became sweltering and I burned myself with the seatbelt. "Dammit." I put the air on full blast and rolled my windows down waiting for the hot air to turn cold. By the time it happened I was already pulling up infront of her house.

I walked in like I owned the place and went straight up to her room, waving at her parents in the living room as I passed them. I knocked twice before opening the door and eve was sitting on the computer with Ashley and Amanda Cooper looking over her shoulders at the screen.

She turned around and smiled at me and the other two girls did the same. Ashley and amanda were twins and extremely annoying. The rumor mill itself was standing before me. They both gave me timid smiles and I mumbled a "Hey" before flopping down on Eve's queen sized bed, not at all interested in what they were looking at.

The twins were identical and slightly attractive. From the front. They had absolutely no butt at all, but I guess God tried to balance it out by giving them the biggest natural boobs I've ever seen. They had brown eyes and a deep reddish-brown color hair. They weren't as short as Eve but not as tall as me either. I'm about 5'7 and Eve is about 5'2. Such a tiny girl.

"Hey girl. Wanna go to the mall?" Eve asked without turning to look at me.

"Thought that's why I was here?" I answered her question with a question.

"Well then let's get this show on the road yah?" she said, gesturing towards her door.

I knew silence form the twins was too good to be true because as soon as we got to my car they started up.
