Chapter 5
"Party a little too hardy"
I hopped out of the shower and the full force of my anxiety started to catch up to me. In a couple hours I'd hopefully be seeing Xander again. Just the thought of that was enough to inspire me to get excited for this party that was probably going to be full of the idiots at my school.
If it weren't for Eve I never would have agreed to go to any party at Jake's house. I had been to a party at his house once before and let me tell you, it was not a good time. I got pissy drunk and vowed never to drink again. Eve on the other hand, can't dance at all so I had no choice but to drink to numb the pain of watching her try.
After slipping on my new skinny jeans I heard brief tapping at the door so I yelled, "Im not decent!" while looking down at my bra.
The door opened anyways and as I was about to protes Eve slipped in and said, "Darn, I was hoping you would be naked," her every word dripping in sarcasm. I just rolled my eyes at her and continued the search through my closet.
"Where are the twins?" I asked.
"Getting ready in one of the guest rooms I think."
I just shrugged before picking up a purple tank top and a black see-through t-shirt to put over it. I leaned down to pick up me black purple and white air forces and slipped them on before turning to Eve for her approval.
"You look hot," she said while doing a little spin for me too.
"So do you," I said back.
She was wearing a black and gray plaid school girl skirt with a tight, white button down shirt which she left open dangerously low. I gestured to her exposed chest and raised an eyebrow.
"What?" she asked with a smile on her face. I just shook my head and put my hands up as if to say "nothing".
The twins walked in just as me and Eve were pushing our face up to my mirror to apply some light make up. They looked okay wearing matching and equally annoying oufits. I say annoying because Amanda was wearing a neon green shirt while Ashley was wearing a neon orange shirt. I almost needed sunglasses because they looked like highlighters.
"Where can we put this on?" they asked while gesturing to the big bags of make up in their hands.
They were the kind of girls that plastered on a whole new face every morning. I just pointed to the bathroom and they smiled at me while walking to the big bathroom mirror. I just threw on some eyeliner, mascara, and lipgloss. Threw a little bit of glitter on my eyelids for good measure.
Whenever Eve put on black liner and mascara her eyes had the babydoll effect. They popped out and looked really pretty. She slipped on her white sandals and her look was complete. I walked over to my bag from the last store we visited and pulled out the chain I had bought.
"Can you put this on for me?" I asked Eve.
"Sure," she said as she took it from me and waited for me to hold my hair up. "All done," she smiled while pulling me to the mirror. "I told you it was perfect for you!"
I looked at my reflection and decided that she was right. It did look good on me, the wings resting just between my breasts.
Just then the girls walked out of the bathroom looking all shiny and new and declared themselves ready.
"Shall we go?" I asked.
"lets get the hell out of here!" The twins yelled at the same time.
I nodded and led the way out the door.
