Was it just an expression?
An expression of love?
Or the promise of impending hurt and destruction?
Since the taste of love might be bitter
Bitter and sweet the essence of the feeling that withers with time,
This is that sad and sweet and beautiful perfection
That they try to taint by saying, 'if you love them, let them go.'

To love someone else? How is that fair though?

How can you be in love with someone and not have them feel a thing for you?!
They say everything's fair in love and life, but is it really so?
Life isn't fair, its sure isn't a fairy tale
But it's in your hands
To change the destiny that God set
For that's the only thing
That the Almighty has given us power over,
To write our own destiny,
And weave our own lives.
Now, though I wish on the stars
That I was not a lover,
That I could feel like them normal ones,
Wish I was not an ocean that is tempted by the storm above,
Tides that rise high to the clouds,
Kissing the sky with a sign of death.
I wish I was just a river or a lake,
calmly flowing with no care in the world,
Because these feelings that I have are too hard to tame.
And the one who could finally tame scares me,
To the core of my being with a query: "What if she runs away?"

Some say that love is an emotion that can render a person either too strong or tear him/ her down to pieces. I personally believe that love is a state of mind.
Aren't we all afraid to take that one leap of faith and hand our heart to our supposed significant one?
We often do it in haste while some of us are careful and cautious enough to have a few 'Queries' before handing over their most fragile part to their apparent soul mates.
