There was that day he yelled at her, cruelly lashing at her innocent self,
Punishing her for crimes she didn't commit.
Telling her she didn't deserve better than the hand she'd been dealt with.
Telling her she belonged in the fading shadows of the blurring, horrifying darkness (her world), that's where she fit.

And no one listened to her throaty mumbles as she begged and pleaded in need, of life;
So she wove, and cemented that lie,
Into her soul until it was what she lived and breathed.

Sighing heavily that night ,
Remembering those diabolical horrors she had survived.
And in a trance she trailed her hand down her skin,
Started to feel herself and live those little deaths again, her hand becoming his.

But crashed back down into reality,
She pressed down on the scars drawn on her body,
As if trying to wipe them away from existence.
And Transparent Tears rolled down her eyes,
As the red blood trickle down her scars,
Explaining her life.
They, Defined her past.

Love comes around when the she least expects it.
Realises soon that it was a devil in disguise.
Her lover turns out to be a curse. Her "The One" has no care for her, no emotional attachment towards her. Here, in this work, we come across the pain and scars that are inflicted on the girl and how even though she survives against all odds its all in vain. Because the ghosts of her past are still clinging to her skin.
Travel the world of physical and emotional pain, torture and self pitying with us in this poem.
