Sweat dripped down your forehead as you tried to fan yourself with a random book you found on Law's shelf. Who knows what you were doing in the captain's study. Obviously no one but Trafalgar Law was allowed inside, that was an unspoken rule everyone was well-aware of.

Much to the captain's annoyance, you of all people just chose to ignore it.

"(Name)-ya, get out." Said man growled under his breath. He was sitting in his swivel chair and contentedly reading one of his medical books when YOU decided to slam the door open and waltz inside without permission. "I can't concentrate with you in here."

"But LAAAaawWW!!" You whined, walking over to him and draping your sweaty self on his lap. "I'm dYING!!"

"Then go die." He clicked his tongue and pushed your face away from his book. "I'm trying to read."

"But LAAAAWWWW!!!"

"Bepo, please get her out of my study."

At the mention of his name, a white polar bear poked his head in the room and blinked at you, his large paw waving you over. You squeaked at the cute sight of your nakama and ran over to hug him.

"BEPO, WHY ARE YOU SO FREAKING ADORABLE!?" You gushed and squished his cheeks in adoration.

"I'm sorry..." He immediately said.

"YOU'RE SO CUTE WHEN YOU APOLOGIZE FOR NO REASON!" You gushed again and hugged him. "I can't believe you work for someone as grumpy as Law!"

Law turned to glare harshly at you, not at all for the insult, but for being so noisy. He took one look at Bepo and the bear understood what it meant without even asking. Bepo needed to get you the hell out before the captain decided to throw you overboard.

"(Name)-san, why don't we go up and get some fresh air?" He suggested. "The submarine just docked at the island."

"Only if you carry me, Bepo~" You giggled, not letting go of his soft fur.

"I thought you said it was hot inside. Why are you clinging to him?" Law raised an eyebrow at you. If you think Law is jealous of you clinging to his bear then he is.

(Bepo is his bear. Get off.)

"Because Bepo is fucking cute, okay?" You stuck your tongue out at him. "Unlike YOU."

Cue the little plushy furry white bear carrying you out before Law had time to summon a ROOM and slice off your head.

This wasn't the first time Bepo had to save you from the captain's wrath. The poor navigator became your babysitter after Law found out that you had a weakness for cute animals. Every day after that, you and Bepo became inseparable. Not by choice either.

Sometimes Bepo would wonder why you even dared to make the captain so irritated with you. Did you have some sort of death wish? Maybe. But why Law of all pirates!?

As you and Bepo pushed open the door of the submarine, the others were already outside and enjoying the open space. Bepo glanced at you with curiosity. Should he ask?

It couldn't hurt, right?

"(Name)-san," The polar bear poked your shoulder gently, getting your attention. You looked at him and smiled brightly. Bepo played with his paws, unable to look at you. "I've been wondering... Why do you enjoy making the captain angry so much? Aren't you scared of him at all?"

"Eh?" You tilted your head at the question as if this was the most ridiculous thing you have ever heard in your entire life. "Why would I be afraid of him when I know you're always there to save me, Bepo?"

"Me?!" He pointed at himself in disbelief. "W-What makes you think that the captain wouldn't get mad at the both of us, (Name)-san?"

"Awww, Bepo!" You laughed, cupping his chubby cheeks into your hands and bringing his nose closer to your lips. "There's no way ANYONE could ever get mad at a cutie like you~"

Shachi and Penguin were looking out at the ocean along with the other crew members. When they both turned around to look the other way, they saw you kissing Bepo on the nose and their jaws dropped at the sight.

"BEPO, THAT'S UNFAIR!!!" They screamed.

"I'm sorry..."
