  Chapter 7

"They seemed to be hunters." Braxton gently kicked one of the men in the side, I watched from a distance feeling the weary eyes. It has been nearly thirty minutes since I had killed the three hunters in front of Xavier and Braxton.

I watched the flock of werewolves slowly appear from the shadows of the treeline their dark eyes gazed over to me for a single moment that shifted to Braxton crouched next to the two dead men, then had come a man and woman both pale and beautiful creatures.

"King Xavier." The woman gently spoke as she bent to one knee, her hand raised to her chest as she bowed her head followed by the man closely. The wolfs who had been in their shifted from had bowed their head to the ground showing a sign of respect.

I gently pressed my back against the tree, feeling the hard yet different texture on my skin. I turned around gently running my fingers down the trunk, feeling the pointed edges touch my fingers and rough texture.

The wound on my back no longer ached or pained, instead it felt much more refreshed. I gulped as I glanced at the bloody bodies, it had been so long since I had killed a person, to the point I felt a pit of enjoyment in my stomach.

It was a cruel feeling that I didn't want to get rid of, I felt the judging eyes on my back as my wings fluttered in the air. My heart thumping in my chest as I breathed in the earth-like smell letting it fill my nostrils, my fingers itched to crush another person by hand.

"This is not good." Anastasia breathed out lowly. "T-This feeling, it truly is amazing." Siren gasped as the euphoric feeling spread along our limbs teasing and testing my skin. I licked my lips breathing out lightly, this would be a problem if I had continued to feel like this.

"Miss Aphrodite." I heard the light deep voice behind me, I slowly turned seeing as a young man crouching, his face towards the ground his figure stiffened and tight. He looked to be scared, I raised a eyebrow facing him seeing as the sandy blonde hair shift in the air, he than glanced up.

His dark blue eyes locked with mine, "can I help you?" I gently questioned looking at him, he bit the corner of his lip as he looked down nodding slightly. "T-The King has asked for me to escort you home." I felt my eyes narrow.

After seeing my three people he thinks I am not capable of protecting myself? "I am not a child I do not need to be escorted." I mumbled as I turned towards the tall looming trees and walked forward, clueless as to where I was going.

My feet enjoyed the feeling of burying into the soil so continued observing the place they called a wood or a forest in this human world. Chirps and crickets echoed around me as I followed the path ahead of me my fingers brushing along the leaves the softness touching the tips of my fingers.

"P-Please do not go alone." He stuttered behind me following me with a quick pace, I looked from far seeing as a the brown majestic animal jumped over a large branch, the long thin legs seeming to take them anywhere.

I halted admiring the creature watching it pick at the evergreen leaves and silently enjoy the quietness, I shifted on my feet looking to the man seeing as he was much taller than me and much more physically built.

"What is this creature?" I asked looking with my eyes, from the corner of my eye I noticed his eye widened for a single lone moment he than proceeded to give me a gentle smile. "We call them deer." I nodded seeing as the ears of the animal twitched perking at the creaks of the woods.

"Is this your first time being here, in the human world." His voice was strained as if he hesitated dearly for his life to ask. I shifted on my feet continuing down the long trial my eyes dancing along the tall trees.
