"U.. um okay it's free now just put down the knife" said the man surprised at the situation at hand. "Uhuh no can do you have seen too much for your own good." Responded Elaine with a grin on her face. "Is that so... then you leave me no choice." he said while reaching under the counter. Before Elaine and Kimberly could respond to what he just said the man pulled out a gun. "NOW PUT DOWN THE KNIFE I DON'T WANT TO DO SOMETHING THAT CAN BE AVOIDED!" yelled the man and once they got their heads around the situation all that could come to mind was.... "DUCK!" screamed Kimberly to Elaine. Then out of impulse the man took the shot only to miss by 3cm away from Elaine's face. He kept shooting with his eyes close. Maybe he thought if he didn't see them he wouldn't get nightmares or feel guilty after the deed was done. What he didn't know is that he gave the girls an advantage. From the noise Kimberly devised a plan. "Hey Ellie give me your pocket knife." "For what?" Asked Elaine trying hard to block out the noise. "He has his eyes closed he won't notice if I sneak behind him. I'll grab him and it will be over. Plus with the noise the gun is making he won't hear my moving closer." "Your right okay here" Elaine passed the knife to Kimberly. Then slowly she moved closer to the man who had no clue that he was about to meet his end. Kimberly got behind the man and put the knife at his throat while leaning in to say the last thing he will ever hear. The man stood there frozen in fear out of bullets and no way of fighting back. A whisper that had a feeling of childlike tone starting to resonate in his ear. "Playing life and death is fun no." and with that she cut his throat a deep enough gash to make sure he won't survive. His eyes open now. Looking up at the ceiling the light slowly drifting from them all around was just darkness. The lifeless corpse now on the ground like a doll that has been long forgotten. "Is it done" asked Elaine who had just stood up from the front of the counter. "Yeah he's as dead as they can get" responded Kimberly looking down at the lifeless body that once moved. "Wow you actually did it our first kill!" "To think that life can just just slip from under you. I guess it is all just a game and one I enjoy." Said Kimberly in an almost whisper. "That's true are you regretting it or something?"
"No never just me thinking out load that's all." Saying this while entranced by the red blood slowly engulfing the once white floor. "Kimberly we should get out of here before someone comes." "Yeah okay." Then they left making sure not to leave any trace of them being there. Once again faking the image of a calm evening with nothing to tell.
