Within a few hours they were in Kentucky, about halfway to their destination. Elaine hasn't been speaking much, being in deep thought about just life in general. The meaning of it and why she likes to bring pain among others. Sadistic, yes but what part about these two isn't?
"I'm so bored now" Kimberly spoke up, currently on her phone. Elaine didn't notice her speaking due to her seeming to be lost in her own mind.
"Hey" Kimberly looked over at her snapped in her face trying to get her to snap back into reality. "Did you get lost again?"
"I'm sorry what?" Elaine asked while making a sharp turn before the yellow light turned red. "You do this weird thing when you block everything out and stuff" Kimberly said, now staring out the window. "Oh, I never notice"
"Obviously not, we wouldn't be having this conversation if you did"
Elaine slowed down as the traffic got piled up. "Great. Now we'll be here for hours." Elaine rolled her eyes and slammed her fist into the horn causing a loud sound to erupt from it. People started honking back. "Oh fuck off!" Elaine yelled in anger.
"You say that as if they can hear you" Kimberly laughed. "I like it when you're angry, could use this on our next target"
"Yeah. yeah, whatever. Who's our next target anyway?" Elaine asked, trying her best to keep a level voice.
"I dunno and I don't care. There is an amusement park near our hotel as well as a zoo so we could use that." Kimberly said.
"Alright.." Elaine said as the traffic seemed to get slower.
Now engulfed in anger, Elaine rolled down the window. "Could you drive any slower?!" She yelled out. This caused more sounds to be blown het way. "Like I said, fuck off!!"
She kept the window down to get a breeze when the do start driving again.
"Road rage will do nothing for you"
Kimberly sighed, now looking out at the ongoing traffic jam.
"You aren't the one driving, Kimberly. You also aren't the one to come from a long line of anger issues" Elaine snapped. "Yeah yeah whatever, you really need to fix that if you don't want to be reckless like you say" Kimberly replied.
"Please tell me how because I'd gladly take the advice." Elaine said, now resting her arm on the window sill, holding her head up with the palm of her hand. She gave the horn one last smack before the cars slowly started to move again.
