"1401 Race Street" Kimberly said, looking up from her phone.
"hm?"
"The foster home." Kimberly sighed, looking out her window.
"oh right..." Elaine said under her breath.
It was silent for a few minutes....then a sound came from the back seat.
"Foster home?"
Elaine pressed on the brakes, in shock making the car go to an immediate stop. Luckily, there were no cars behind them at the moment.
"Yeah...." Elaine said, starting to move the car again.
"W-What about mommy and daddy...?"
"....They di- I mean they left"
"Where?"
Kimberly snickered. "Hell." She bluntly spoke.
The girl had a frightened look on her face now.
Elaine couldn't help but laugh as well.
"Meh, maybe only your dad."
Robin tried not to focus on the girl's words and looked out the window until they pulled up into the foster home parking lot.
"We're here. Let's get moving." Kimberly sighed, getting out of the passenger seat.
Elaine jumped out of the car and slammed the door shut.
Robin slowly got out of the car herself.
"This way." Elaine said in monotone leading her to the entrance.
Kimberly stayed by the car to keep watch of any cops that could've figured out the crime was committed by them.
Elaine simply walked Robin in and sat her down on a bench. "Tell them your parents left." Elaine spoke, back turned to hide her face.
Robin stayed quiet and just looked down. "Sorry, kid. it's how it has to be."
She said and walked out as a woman walked up.
"We're clear. Where to now?" Elaine asked Kimberly while walking back to the car. "Hmmm...Oklahoma? I dunno." Kimberly said while sliding back in the car and closing the door. "Let's stop by some coffee shop and look up a few places, we did stay up all night so we should also just pull over afterwards and nap so I won't cause us to get in a wreck" Elaine spoke after sitting down and starting the car up again.
"Yah okay sounds good." Kimberly said, now looking down at her phone.
She got on youtube and started playing Seventeen. (A/N: random ik sorry fam)
"Really?"
"Yep." Kimberly looked at Elaine while smiling the oh so innocent smile.
"Whatever I have no room to talk....Anime has ruined my life for the better."
"Don't remind me about introducing you to Yato"
"Hey I didn't bring up Noragami, I said Anime ruined my life not Noragami."
"Still, Noragami is an anime....you had that phase for like three months?"
"I'm still in that phase." Elaine laughed.
"9 years..." Kimberly sighed.
"Embarrassing? nah. Sad? maybe."
"Just shush and drive already I want coffee."
"okay okay" Elaine said accusingly and drove away from the foster home.
