Rose was pissed, so pissed she was tempted to go to the clinic and confront one Dr. Styles personally. It's been 3 days sence she's dropped Butch off and Harry hasn't called or texted her to let her know how he was doing. Making up her mind she grabs her keys off the counter and storms out to her truck and speeds to the clinic, once there she doesn't even say a word to her friend Deb, Rose just stomps past her and and slams Harry office door open. It gave her some pleasure to see his shocked face when she stormed into his office.
"I don't know who the hell you think you are or how you conducted your practice in England, but here, when you have an animal in your care that is in as bad as shape my dog is you keep the owners aware of their progress." Rose yells. "You do not keep them waiting three fucking days worried. I have been coming to this clinic sence Marty took over, trusting he will care for my babies and you just fucked that up." Rose sobs, turning and walks back out the door slamming it shut. She then goes the kennels and walks to where Butch is. Picking him and the iv bag up she walks out the back door and places him in the passenger seat and hooks the iv bag onto the gun rack and drives off.

Marty walks into his nephews office and sees him sitting at his desk with his head in his hands. "Please tell me what I just heard isn't true, and you did at least text Rose and let her know her dog may die."

Harry shakes his head. "No, I didn't. After what happened the other day I was hoping he would start getting better so I would have some good news for her." Harry mumbles.

"Damn son. Do you know what you just did?" Marty asks him. "That girl probably has fifty or more animal she's adopted or rescued over the years. She brings them all to me." Harry's uncle snaps at him. "What the hell happened the other day to keep you from doing your job properly?"

"She asked me about Rhonda." Harry snaps. "It's none of her business, my wife is off limits."

"My God Harry, it's been over 2 years." Marty says. "Yes, I'm sorry she died the way she did, but to treat Rose that way for asking an innocent question is inexcusable. She didn't know." His uncle says. "Not only that but damnit Harry she has been through the same thing herself, she lost her parents and her 3 year old brother. And she was just 17 when that happened, Rose then had to figure out a way to make a living to support herself. Think about that while you're still drowning yourself in your own self pity." Marty says as he walks out of Harry's office deciding to go to Rose's place to see if she's okay.

Carrying Butch into the spare room Rose lays him on the bed, puts the iv bag down on the dresser, then runs to her laundry room and grabs a hammer and nail. She then returns to the room with her pet drives the nail half way into the wall and hangs the bag onto it, then and only then does she sit down and start crying when she sees what kind of shape her baby is in. Butch is so thin and lifeless looking, putting her hand on his large head Rose whispers.
"Please don't die yet, I need you to keep my dreams away." She cries. Hearing a knock on the door Rose kisses Butch's nose and walks to open the door. Seeing Marty standing there she steps back to let him in. Marty just opens his arms and Rose walks to him sobbing, hugging him around the waist. "He's going to die isn't he?"

"Probably." Marty whispers. "That's why Harry didn't call, he didn't want to give you bad news. Not a good excuse I know but there it is." Marty says as he hugs the girl close.

"Marty what am I going to do, I don't have the nightmares when he sleeps with me." Rose sighs. "That's how I knew something was wrong that day. And I've had them every day sence he's been at the clinic."

"Hang on hun, we ain't done fighting yet." Marty says as he grabs his phone. "Roger, do you have any of that new anti-venom? Yes that stuff, if you can't bring it to Rose's take it my clinic and give it to Harry I'll have him bring to me. I'll pay you back later." Marty tells his long time friend and rival clinic owner.

Harry was still thinking about what his uncle said to him when he sees a guy standing in the doorway of his office. "You Harry?" The guy asks.

"Yes, what can I do for you?" Harry replies.

"Marty sent me over with this new brand type of anti-venom, I'm Roger. He told me to have you get this to Rose's place." Roger says, handing Harry the bag of vials.

Harry nods and takes the bag. "Thank you, Roger." He says as he follows the guy out the door to his truck, Harry then calls his uncle to get directions to Rose's house. Five minutes later Harry was pulling into Rose's drive, he was quite surprised to see she owned a beautiful home, not only that but the lawn was filled with every animal known to man. Some looked fine others only had 3 legs. Getting out of his truck Harry walks up the steps to the front door to hear rose crying. Forgetting about knocking Harry walks in and runs down the hallway to the room where he finds his uncle working over Butch. Walking over to the dresser Harry places the bag down opens it, grabs one of the vials out of it then takes a seringe and injects Butch in the neck with the medication, giving him the full dose.

"Well, I've never seen that done before." Marty says. "I hope that works."

Harry sighs. "Never done that before, so, so do I." He says.

Rose just shakes her head and walks out of the room, she doesn't want to see her pet die. Walking out to the front porch Rose sits on the top step, one of her other rescues, Rascal, a 3 legged boxer sits in front of her and puts his head in her lap. Rose leans over and lays her head on the dogs back and literally falls asleep.
