Chapter 18

Harry, Rose and Steph walk slowly into the rear entrance of the zoo, Harry and Rose holding each of Steph's hands, and make their way to Waikiki temporary cage. Harry drove one of the clinic's large animal transport vehicles so they could move this large cat safely. As soon as they step into the room Waikiki sees them and steps out of his hiding spot and approaches the family.
Steph's eyes widen and she stops walking. "Wow, he's a really big kitty." She whispers.

"Yes he is Bug, do you want to stay here with daddy while I see if he's ready to go?" Rose asks the child.

Steph shakes her head. "No, Momma Rose, I need to know how to care for him to. He needs to know I won't hurt him like others have. I will do that now." The smart Steph says bringing tears to both adults eyes.

"Okay, don't make sudden moves until he smells you and let's you know it's okay, alright?" Rose tells Steph. With her nod Rose calmly walks to the cage door and opens it, she walks in then motions for Harry to bring Steph in.

Harry was trying so hard to stay calm and keep his emotions under control here, but here he was taking his baby into this huge cats cage where anything could happen. As soon as he and Steph step into the enclosure Waikiki steps up to Steph and sticks his large head in her face.
Steph giggles because his whiskers were tickling her, but she didn't move away.
Suddenly, Waikiki raises his paw, wraps it around Steph and literally pulls her into a hug like he did Harry and Rose days before. Rose smiles but Steph starts laughing.
"Daddy he's hugging me." She says as she throws her tiny arms around the large cats neck. "Does this mean he's my friend now?" She asks.

"Yes baby, he's your friend now." Harry smiles as he to steps forward and scratches Waikiki between the ears.

"Well let's get this big baby loaded up and take him home. Louis said he has some friends that's bringing us some road kill over to feed him." Rose grins. "Good thing we live in Kentucky, deer gets hit here daily."

As they start making their way out of Waikiki cage, the cat lays down and nudges Steph, she giggles and climbs onto his back like you would a horse. The cat then stands back up and walks calmly between Harry and Rose.
"I'll be damn." Harry laughs. "I wonder if Waikiki was a circus cat before he was placed here." He whispers.

"I was just thinking the same thing, he did that to quick." Rose says.

When they got the cat home it was Steph who asks if she could get him out of the truck. Harry looks at Rose, when she nods Harry told Steph to be very careful. Anne, Gemma, Louis, Marty and Beth were all watching from a distance. Anne didn't like seeing her only granddaughter disappear, by herself, into the back of the truck knowing there was a huge cat in there.
The next thing they all know they hear a laughing and Steph say. "Kiki, that tickles." Then they both emerge from the back of the truck with Steph riding the huge cat causing Harry and Rose to grin but the others to gasp in awe.

Harry walks over and opens the gate to Waikiki's new home and Steph rides him right into his new home. She then jump off his back, hugs his neck then says for all the adults to hear. "Welcome home Kiki." Steph then walks out and runs to Rose.

A few days later Harry get a text from Rose telling him to meet her at his rented house during his lunch break. There was something she needed to talk to him about she didn't want others to hear. Harry wasn't sure what was going on, he thought things were going okay between the 2 of them. They never argued about anything. So this text made no since to him at all.
Walking to the door Harry unlocks the door and walks into the home he moved out of over a month ago, looking around he didn't see Rose so he walks down the hallway and finds her in the master bedroom. She was sitting on the bed in nothing but a blood red lace teddy looking better than he's ever seen her.

Rose looks up just as Harry walks into the room. "Ready for our talk?" She smirks.

A slow grin spreads across Harry's face. "Depends on the subject." Harry says as he makes his way closer to Rose. When he was standing in front of her she reaches up and grabs his belts and pulls on it as she falls back on the bed, causing him to fall on top of her.

"We can discuss everything we know about animal mating rituals." Rose laughs. "Or you can just kiss me and show me what all the girls at the gym continue to go on and on about."

Harry smiles and whispers against her lips." I'll just show you." He says then he kisses her.

Rose eases her hands between them and undoes the buttons of Harry's shirt then pushes it off his shoulders. As Rose was doing that Harry was kissing his way down her neck, pulling the strap of the teddy she was wearing down as he went, exposing one breast at the same time. He then went to the other side and did the same over there. Once Rose was bare to the waist Harry leaned back and just looks down at her.

"You are so beautiful, thank you for loving me." Harry whispers.

"I think you're beautiful too, and thank you for loving me." Rose whispers back. "Now please give me a baby."

As soon as those words were out of Rose's mouth Harry almost lost control. Hooking his thumbs in the teddy she was wearing he slides it down off her so she was completely nude, he then stands up and takes off the rest of his clothes.
Harry picks Rose up and places her on the bed so her head was resting on the pillows still there, he then lays down between her legs.
"I love you so much, Rose. I don't want to hurt you."

Rose reaches up and place one hand on his cheek. "Harry, I love you too. Please don't stop now. I know there might be some pain."

Harry just stares at Rose for a few seconds, he then leans down and kisses her again. "I can't do this, I'm sorry." He says and sits up.
