Chapter 29

Harry runs into the hospital and the first person he sees is his mom with Andy sitting in her lap, he then sees Gemma holding Steph and Louis was pacing in front of them. He should have known his mom would call her son-in-law for a police escort. Taking a deep breath, Harry walks over to where the others are sitting. When his mom looks up he asks.
"Heard anything yet?"

"No, Harry we just got here a few minutes ago." Anne says.

Nodding, Harry sits down beside her and reaches for Andy, when he gasps and scrambles away from him and runs to Louis crying Harry stands up and walks away in tears. Walking into one of the nearby bathrooms, Harry locks the door, leans against it and slides down to sit on the floor, putting his head in his hands. As much as he would love to just up and leave, much like Rose did, he cant. He has 2 kids to care for, and if Rose makes it, he needs to be there for her to. Prove once and for all that he does love her, never stopped.

A few minutes after Harry walks off the doctor comes out, holding him off, Louis goes to get him. Knocking on the bathroom door, Louis calls out. "Harry, come on, Doc is wanting to update us on Rose's condition. Get your ass out here for your kids."

Harry stands, unlocks the door and follows Louis back to the waiting room, Louis goes to sit beside his wife, but Harry just stands to one side.
"Okay, now that everyone's here I'll let you know what's going on with that young lady in there." Dr. Stevenson says. "Anne you were right when you said you it looks like an anurisum, that's exactly what it is."

"Oh God." Anne mutters as she hugs Andy closer to her.

"Now before you lose all hope, there's a good chance she will pull through this." The doctor says. "Anne you got to her quick enough and got her here for treatment, from what I can tell right now, until we're able to do more testing, the effects of the anurisum she had will be much like a stroke. There is some paralysis on her left side, if someone could have gotten to her quicker it might not be as bad as it is now, but with some extensive therapy she could be good as new soon." Stevenson says, not realizing what he was saying was causing Harry to hate himself more than he already did. "Now I don't usually allow children into ICU, but Rose is awake and promised me that her 2 kids are well behaved." The doctor says. "And trust me, I was quite surprised when she told me she has 2 children, she doesn't look old enough to have 1 let alone two."

Without thinking about what he was saying, Harry looks at the doctor. "Rose doesn't have 2 kids, she only has one, my daughter isn't hers." He says causing his daughter to gasp and turn her head into Gemma's shoulder and start crying again.

"Oh, well, she thinks she's hers, so if you will follow me you can see her, but only for a few minutes. Then you have to leave, sorry." The doctor tells them all.

Gemma stands up with Steph in her arms and stomps past her brother. "You are such and fucking ass." She snaps as she walks by him.

Anne passes Andy to Louis as he follows his wife, she then grabs Harry's arm. "You need to get your shit together son, I'm afraid you've already lost Rose, if you don't want to lose those kids of yours too you better start thinking before you speak." Anne snaps. "You know damn well your daughter thinks of Rose as her mom, to say what you did in front of her was uncalled for." She says, then walks away to catch up with the others.

Harry just shakes his head and silently follows the others, when he enters Rose's room he just steps to one side and leans against the wall, what he hears breaks his heart all over again.

"Mommy, I told you something bad was going to happen. Why did you make me go to dad's?" Andy cries. "I didn't want to go, he doesn't like me." He says.

"Shh, baby, your dad loves you." Rose whispers, slightly slurred.

"No he doesn't, I tried telling him you were in trouble. He just yelled at us, we had to go to Gammy." Andy sobs.

"Come on guys we have to go. The doctor said we could only stay for a few minutes, Rose's needs to rest. Tell her goodnight, we'll go get a hotel room for the night and see you tomorrow." Louis says.

It was about 2am and Harry was finally drifting off to sleep when he was startled by someone banging on his door. Throwing his jeans back on Harry opens his door to see his mom standing there crying. "We have to go back to hospital, Gemma is going to stay here with the kids. Rose had a seizure, she's in a coma." Anne says.

Harry turns and grabs his shirt off the chair, then his wallet and keys and runs down the hallway with his mom following. When they get outside Louis is already waiting for them with his car running. When they get to the hospital the doctor meets them in the hallway to Rose's room, he reassures them that she didn't have another anurisum, but at that moment they aren't sure if the seizer caused any damage or not.

When Harry gets to Rose's room he goes to sit over by the bedside table, seeing her phone he remembers all the sonogram pictures she showed him so long ago. Reaching over, Harry picks up Rose's phone and starts slowly going through the pictures she's taken of her and Andy through the years, it was almost like she wanted to catch everything. When Harry notices there were also videos on the phone also he decided to watch those to.
When he saw Andy taking his first steps and also heard Rose's voice saying how proud his daddy would be of him Harry about lost it. The next video was of Andy's first word. Rose was sitting on the floor in a hotel room feeding him, Harry could clearly hear her tell Andy over and over to say daddy not mommy.
The rest of the videos were of them with different animals, Rose would calm them down first as she's known to do, then Andy would walk calmly to them and giggle saying things like, they hate it here, or mom this animal is sick and needs help. When that would happen a vet would look it over and Andy was right every time.
By the time Harry was done he was in tears, he couldn't believe Rose never showed him these before, and that he ever doubted her at all.
